@dcbuchan @obsidianmd strong agree here, it hasn't quite found a place for me either. ironically i look at diagrams all the time and use an application that embeds / , it's more of a strategic avoidance to evangelize the idea more at work 😂

Here's some preliminary test results for using 2.13.0 on 14.3.1, with Whisky.

  • Can't get Xbox controller to work in Wine 🤷🏻‍♂️
  • Chorus (demo): Runs fine
  • Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew (demo): crashes during tutorial
  • Helium Rain: Runs fine
  • Homeworld Deserts of Kharak: graphical glitches (no vehicles, known issue), otherwise fine, I guess

Mixed results, deffo. But I love that Heroic exists.

@czottmann Deserts of Kharak i never played until last year and i'm currently stuck in some crazy scenario where i have to work my way across a giant map to rescue another squad. i don't know how many attempts i've made.

i loved HW1 & 2 so much, but hard to play on a Steamdeck without a keyboard without embracing a totally different way to play using multi-select menus and other Steam Controller features.

i can't wait for the new game. those two games are underrated imo.

@GottaLaff when i attend counter protests at a clinic i always meet multiple people that, as far as i can tell based on our conversation, people that resent the fuck out of their children. they made “the right decision” and are miserable and resent the fuck out of any woman that chooses what they wish they did.

@thepoliticalcat @PandaChronicle my threat model is how to survive a second term of the worst president this country has ever known. i'm not an expert on politics, so i don't know the actual chances of that happening, but i'm an expert on minimizing risk when the worst thing imaginable can happen so that's what i'm doing.

@GottaLaff next time someone is waving a sign in your face ask them about their kids. a lot of them feel like children are a punishment with the way they talk about “consequences” and it's really sad. i can't imagine resenting my kids. i occasionally will lament the lack of a 911 turbo in the garage but i do have 2 and my partner's kid and they're pretty great.

@thepoliticalcat @PandaChronicle i absolutely vote and i am fighting against legislation targeting my youngest kid in the state of iowa every g-ddamned day. i hope and pray it doesn't happen. co-parent and i already established medical care for that little animal out of state. it's a nightmare and i try to help other families in the same situation.

@czottmann i was surprised to learn that in latin america they only acknowledge six continents. the billboards in panama for airlines underscored it - there is no North and South America, they call it The Americas, which is interesting context when thinking about migration and immigration in the United States.

ugh i can't figure out where the Spaces directory came from and why I have new notes that wound up in there. i don't see a reference to "Spaces" in my plugins other than Workspace Manager and no workspace named "Home" exists anyway.

any ideas? i think i created the two notes it put into those folders either by a non-existent link in my daily note yesterday because it doesn't have the usual yaml cues from Unique Note Create. @obsidianmd plz halp

The iOS app (music streaming) is not good. Play album, stop in the middle from the lock screen. Hours later, open the app, and it puts you back at the start of track 1.

@czottmann my partner's echo show in the kitchen forgets what it's even playing half the time. the max app doesn't appear to have a Continue Watching deck so most of the time i have to search for the thing i was just watching. prime video for iOS doesn't let you see what you've downloaded to your phone. this isn't the "move fast break stuff" theme they think they're following

That the Remarkable 2 is only slightly bigger than the Kindle Scribe, that I should not have gotten the upgraded Remarkable marker because I was going to buy the Lamy Al-Star EMR stylus anyway (thanks @noboilerplate ) and that there is currently no way to sync Remarkable notes automatically to some file syncing servce other than the paid Remarkable Connect app. There's also this cool repo of resources for hacking the Remarkable: https://github.com/reHackable/awesome-reMarkable

    The Border theme, coupled with the Style Settings plugin, is so lovely. You can customize the look and feel quickly without hunting for deeply nested selectors in the inspector to use in custom CSS snippets.

    And the seamless embed option is excellent if you're like me and use transcludes everywhere. Great work, Akifyss, and co.!

    @erik @obsidianmd Border theme is in my regular rotation for my most important vault I use! It's very nice. Simple, but with subtle depth.

    I use SF Compact Rounded as my ui-font and SF Pro Rounded for text. I use it in Light, myself.
