Just a heads up, I am going to be experimenting with a new schedule for my newsletter starting next week, moving to twice-weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.

Expect slightly longer episodes (I think??) and hopefully the same or better quality as well.

I think this will help me out quite a bit with sustainability.

Recut is an app that helps you trim silence out of media, audio or video. Dial in the parameters and preview what will be cut right in the app. Export a new edited file, or export a timeline for another app.

I truly do not know how I could exist, let alone do content work if I didn't dump literally every thought I had into a ToDo list app.

Otherwise it is a vicious cycle of "oh, thats a good idea!" followed by "what the hell was the idea I had yesterday?? Oh well, I have another idea!"

For anyone else (likely ADHD folks) who deal with that: ignore the voice in your head thats telling you the thought you had is important enough that you'll remember it.

WRITE. SHIT. DOWN. IMMEDIATELY.

Even if it feels silly. Get it written down.

@clive absolutely. I've also taken to jotting down random ideas and thoughts about projects before they escape me. When I'm out and about especially, my mind is usually trying to solve problems in unrelated crap. Every now and then I get a good idea--gotta get it written down or it'll be done in 60 seconds

If you have a Windows machine and you aren't using PowerToys, you should fix that asap. Essentially adds missing features that Windows really, really should just ship with.

@ptl tiling window management, color picker hotkey, spotlight/alfred-style quick launcher, keyboard remap manager, host file editor ui with presets, improvements to the file explorer, a quick preview system (similar to Preview in macOS), encryption tools, tons of stuff
