I like the way this flows. Using a Weekender .

He does tricks with a very responsive yo-yo that has a counterweight on the end of it. The man is me (Doctor Popular), a 46 year old white guy with a beard and black framed glasses. Today is Ritual Roasters’s 19 anniversary. I moved to SF a few weeks prior to Ritual’s opening and spent a lot of time at their location on Valencia St (I lived a block away). Over the years I’ve made a lot of art and friends at this location too. Happy birthday, Ritual!

Today I remember my beloved & talented mother - Betty-Jeanne Maheux. She was an artist, a loving wife, a dedicated member of the church and an amazing mom.

She set me down the path of becoming an artist / designer and helped me create my submission portfolio to RIT even though I had no real art training.

She taught art lessons out of our basement when I was a kid and painted many paintings for our church and community. She was beloved by all who knew her.

Happy Mother’s Day, Ma. We miss you.

Tesla has texted or called me at least 10 times in the last month to offer incentives if I lease a new car with them after my Model Y ends at the start of May. They are quite litterally desperate.

If I chose to re-up with them I could get quite a deal. I’ve told their reps multiple times I won’t support Tesla as along as Elon Musk is the CEO of the company. Gotta wonder how long Tesla shareholders will put up with him in charge. https://mastodon.online/@electrek/112201815082910986

I'm heading to Alamo Drafthouse in SF tonight to take part in a 21 hour marathon viewing of movies. That's Star Wars 1 through 9, with live performances of the 501st Legion, and some bits of trivia and games. Rogue One and Solo will not be included.

I haven't watched episodes 1-3 since they were in theaters and I'm curious if I'll like them any better now than I did then.

I watched the full run years ago—through the eyes of my young son—and while we’ve had many repeat viewings of episodes 4-9 since, rarely has there been a desire to rewatch the prequels more than the first time. But reading your story makes me think we should give the whole batch a go again.

Jack Dorsey referred to Twitter, the privately owned company that blocked links to competing social media platforms like Mastodon, as "freedom technology". What a clown.

He also deleted his account on Bluesky announced he's no longer on Bluesky's board of directors. Jack's involvement was one of the reasons I was never excited about , TBH.

    One of the best things iPad Pro can add this week is a wireless charging connector and standby mode+stand to let it be a HomePod / smart photo frame when not in use.

    My biggest issue is that my iPads just sit unused forever and are always dead. This would keep ‘em useful.
