Just sweeping the roof as you do.

This is about 3-5 years of neglect

The trick is to not slip and slide off.

The gutters also have been neglected and are next.

Well, I have some branches to lop off on the other side. Kinda hard to sweep with branches in the way

To be transparent — I don’t always make the best decisions either in my code, but whenever I go back to fix something I always refactor towards patterns that have proven their use over my career. Sometimes I crank shit out because even Grumpy Internet Superstars have bosses and deadlines. But I always regret not using patterns and tests when it comes time to make changes

You addressed the information asymmetry question I was gonna ask about in the free market stuff.

My only quibble is very tiny. The Luddites weren't just skilled craftsfolk. They were also people oppposed to workers on the looms not sharing in the profits generated from them.

Which is nothing new. Labor is still fighting that fight.

So I found a bug in the programming language I was using, and someone made a PR to fix it, so I tried testing the PR, but testing the PR caused me to discover a different bug in the programming language, so someone made a PR to fix that, but testing that PR caused me to discover a bug in the package manager, so I went to file an issue on the package manager, and while testing configurations to write the bug as helpfully as possible I found a second bug in the package manager

People who live in the city proper in reaalllly underestimate how much fun and how much good trouble you can get in in the near suburbs. I have never had a problem with either of those things. If you tell me that you can’t find good food, good cocktails or good entertainment - or even good places open late, you are not trying hard enough or honesty just have a bad attitude. It is getting increasingly awkward that my only daily drivers are a Win10 machine and a laptop based on antiquated MacOS. I should get a simple Linux laptop.

Last time I tried to do this though it turned out any laptops that run Linux with full hardware support out of the box are pretty expensive.

I also only buy latitudes, optiplex's, or precisions.

Mostly because they are business class. This means, to me, the hardware inside doesn't change for the life of the line. Generally much more user serviceable because orgs generally service their own devices. At least my org does

Decent prices if you wait for a bit sometimes.

I'll agree Lenovo doesn't suck but I swore of when they get sold

Mini-me has been discharged from the hospital today. UPDATE: turns out it is epilepsy and she had both a epileptic seizure and a non-epileptic seizure.

Glad she’s coming home but the unanswered questions leave a low level of dread.
