Seriously heard someone saying they don't listen to many black artists, because they aren't really into rap. Bitch please, feel free to share songs from Black artists from any genre. Here is one of my favorites, if you like this song please check out her other work:

Trump enters the courtroom. Before arriving, he lingered for a moment in the doorway, talking to his lawyers, Emile Bove and Todd Blanche. He had a piece of paper in his hand, which he waved around as he spoke.
@LikeItOrLumpIt Did you ever read Lewis Grizzard? He had a hilarious piece (or maybe it was one of his live bits) about discovering bidets when he went to Paris. He called it "The Magical French Fanny Fountain." You can find them in pretty much every Italian home.
Tip, if you ever need it: take a lot of photos of your house for insurance/disaster reasons. More than you think you need. Of all the random details of stuff -- where shelves are, what your drawers look like, what pictures you have on the walls. Having just gone through a remodel due to a plumbing disaster, there are a lot of places I had wished I had photos of (ie the laundry room cabinets, the inside of the kitchen cabinets!) #disaster#tip#disasterpreparation#insurance#disasterprep
@ai6yr As a former attorney representing insurance companies and former hurricane victim, I endorse this recommendation. Include the inside of every cabinet, everything on the walls, inside closets, every appliance, inside the garage.
In the summer, in my rural home, ladies would cover their heads, when bats swoop to catch the mosquitoes that the carbon dioxide of your body attracts.
I have an old home, the wood that bats are attracted to, like old barns, the wood is 100+ years old.
When I replaced windows, I had to go around and manually gather the bats and put them out before the new window. That was 2008. I bought a bat hotel for them. Never saw one since. One year, all our #bats disappeared.
@Rasta That's interesting. We used to see bats sleeping behind the large wooden shutter doors on our farmhouse (we close them summer mornings to keep the house cooler). We replaced them a few years ago, but never made the connection between the bats and the old wood. They do still hang around the upstairs porch which has ancient doors and beams.
When I recover some bandwidth, I'm going to have to write a story about my night in Kuala Lumpur, but for now let me just share a picture to give you a sense of the traffic around our hotel. And we were all up in that mess! In. The. Rain. #TravelPhoto
@JasonTheBig@SueShannon@GottaLaff Yes! Absolutely this! She helps me maintain a healthy balance, rather than having to confront the firehose all day everyday.
Something I've noticed a lot lately, is that especially Boomer women, but honestly, women in general, don't seem to ask for what they want or need in a direct way. I notice this a lot with my Mom and her friends. Instead of just asking for what they need directly they tell a story, to ask in a roundabout way. For instance, my Mom needed help this morning, and Instead of just saying, "Hey, I dropped my remote, can you pick it up for me?" She tells a one minute story about what happened, no ask, and eventually I get the point, and then suggest that I come pick it up. Or if one of her friends wants to do something like have a birthday party for a friend, they don't say "We should have a party!" They say, It's Sarah's Birthday coming up, you know she likes surprises, what does everyone think we should do?"
I often wonder if this is why older people think younger women are rude and demanding, because younger people often just ask for what they want and need in a more direct way. But also it's probably just straight up sexism, because men are supposed to make decisions, and women are supposed to make suggestions.
What do you all think? Is this just me? Have you experienced something similar?
@RickiTarr It infuriates me in my mom, but I am her daughter and I am guilty of being less than direct at times. I'm hypersensitive about anything sounding like a demand, but I really do struggle not to be passive aggressive. The RFL says he wants direct, but TBH he doesn't react well to anything that sounds like a demand. Hence my daily and eternal quandary.
