@ChrisPirillo Hello Mr. Pirillo, I hope you are well. I have a question for you, I have this recollection of you at some point saying "just Google Chris", back when you were the top result for Chris.

Is it a false memory or did you really say it?

    Is this a scam? I feel like a 1TB SD card for 20 bucks must be a scam? Yet the reviews are all good AND there are lots of cards not that much more expensive...

    Can we rreally buy a 1tb this small and this cheap now?

    @freemo sounds like a scam to me. I wouldn't trust it :)

    gpowerf,

    @freemo I tend to aim at the 512Gb sd cards, they are good value for the size generally given my uses.

    @freemo I have a handful of 512Gb ones to try out OSs rather than using a VM. Easy way to dual boot.

    A few years ago, you would have been considered crazy for wanting to buy a laptop. Nowadays? It’s actually a very interesting proposition!

    So, today, I take a look at the @slimbook Hero, a nicely priced, powerful gaming laptop:

    @darth I'd argue we have been living in the era of desktop Linux since somewhere between 2016 to 2018.

    2016 is when Microsoft admitted defeat and released WSL.

    2018 is when Google released Crostini in ChromeOS 69 supporting Linux applications.

    I'm fully aware that I am choosing to twist the truth to suit my own biases, but it makes me happy.

    As I play more games on the current consoles and explore the features of Game Pass and Plus, as well as other digital distribution platforms like or , I wonder if Nintendo will be the only console maker left in the future. It seems that Sony and Microsoft are focusing more on delivering their games through various devices and platforms, rather than creating unique and innovative hardware to create unique gaming experiences.

    gpowerf,
    @gpowerf@mastodon.social avatar

    @Daojoan I think you stand a good chance pr proving in court that all Ts&Cs are worthless. They are long, small, and intelligible. Plus, there's no check that the user has spent any time reading. The software developers clearly expect them not to read them, and you could argue they are so long, illegible, and small because the lawyers themselves want to discourage you from reading them. The user is being actively encouraged not to read them, and that's a bad faith act.

    This was a very special in @Fortnite

    Playing Duos with my daughter, and it was darn tough! We barely survived against 3 teams at Dusty Depot, and at the end, it was very, very close to death for us!

    Epic, please understand this. NOBODY plays to relax.

    Edit: I'm an idiot and there's other ways to play fortnite, some of which are actually relaxing to others. Thanks to the people who replied and reminded me there's parts of fortnite other than the battle Royale

    gpowerf,
    @gpowerf@mastodon.social avatar

    @timelordiroh I do. I think this is about catering to people like me, I like the battle royal, it's fun! Over the years, I've gone in and out of playing 1st shooters all the way back to the LAN days. But Fortnite is now more than the Battle Royal. It is now a place to hang out with lots of modes. I'm currently playing a mode where you explore an island and have to find coins in order to unlock a cage. It's super busy in there and very relaxing.

    Fortnite is different now. It's better.

    gpowerf,
    @gpowerf@mastodon.social avatar

    @timelordiroh my recent toot about this: https://mastodon.social/@gpowerf/111428398260277579

    I'm really really liking what Fortnite is becoming. All the different modes give you so much choice! Sure if you want to sweat it out battling you can do that, but you can now explore, relax, interact with others, go on adventures, etc... Fortnite has a mode for every mood. And what's more, you don't. Iss out, you can gain XP and progress doing anything you like.

    gpowerf,
    @gpowerf@mastodon.social avatar

    @timelordiroh it is a bold move from Epic. But I can see their thinking, for Fortnite to last even longer, it should be more than what it has been in the past.

    Will it work long term? I don't know 🤷‍♂️ but I like it.

    The fact that Advance: Risky Revolution is coming to Switch, Windows, PlayStation, and GBA is nice!

    But you know what I really wish we'd get? A ROM release so we can run it on our own emulation consoles.
