If you care about bios, you're doing it wrong - new accounts use uefi.

Doer of things, sometimes.
Boosts things if they are generally interesting, since fediverse discoverability sucks.
I'm probably not upset about what you're creating - only about what you're destroying to make room.

Our latest VOA News report: US hails ‘incredible military achievement’ against Iranian attack on Israel. https://www.voanews.com/a/biden-returns-to-white-house-as-iran-attacks-israel-/7568957.html

immibis,

@RememberUsAlways @w7voa @palestine @israel you mean the attack Israel caused by blowing up an embassy? Fuck around, find out

immibis,

@RememberUsAlways @israel @palestine @w7voa I think in Israel they don't call it Jihad, they call it "self defence"

Ever noticed how Second Holocaust Deniers will constantly interrupt and talk over anyone who tries to bring it up? This is because they know you are right. If they knew you were wrong, they could simply wait for you to finish talking and then present the opposing evidence, which they'd have if you were actually wrong. But instead, whenever there's a TV interview or anything, the deniers will simply do their darnedest to prevent the other side from speaking at all.

immibis,

@KarunaX @mozz and it will. The UN seems to be a venue for white supremacists to always get what they want, these days.

Berlin police raided and cut off electricity to the Palestinian Congress conference before banning the three-day event. Organizers say Germany’s antidemocratic authoritarian response to Palestine activism is growing by the day.

immibis,

@justicesandwich @mondoweiss @palestine @israel Palestine support is antisemitism the way that Jewish support during the Holocaust time was antigermanism.

Currently preparing to be for the first time by for demanding free speech about @palestine . Yesterday they let people speak about it for two hours and then shut down the whole event, turning the power off and grabbing the AV equipmentout of people's hands. Today there is a demonstration 14:00 at Neptunbrunnen

State power always gets its way, so I expect some unreasonably severe punishment - hope for the best, plan for the worst. Possibly deportation.

@israel

immibis,

@celestesenters @israel @palestine Oh you support terrorists. Cute. Reported and blocked.

immibis,

@israel @palestine update: did not get arrested.

immibis,

@israel @palestine one person called me a Nazi on the subway, which is a criminal offense in Germany, but you'd better have a witness on your side and know the person who did it.

immibis,

@israel @palestine some protestors told me, in relation to "I condemn Hamas, now you condemn Israel!" that I should not condemn Hamas. It is illegal to not condemn Hamas.

Germany’s out of hand, crazy version of anti-antisemitism continues in full swing. Last week cancellation of Nancy Fraser, this week that of the rector of Glasgow University.

Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah, a British-Palestinian medic, has claimed he was invited to give a conference in Berlin about his work as a surgeon in Gaza but was denied entry to the country.

https://www.thenational.scot/news/24250169.glasgow-university-rector-forcibly-prevented-entering-germany/

immibis,

@frumble @pvonhellermannn @ophiocephalic "It's to prevent Holocaust denial" is a ridiculous statement. Any sentence out of any person's mouth could be Holocaust denial and you don't know until they actually say it. So this is a power that lets the CDU shut down anyone they don't like from ever speaking, and the people they don't like happen to be the ones who think Holocausts are bad. By the way the CDU denies all Holocausts except for the Nazi one.

immibis,

@frumble @ophiocephalic @pvonhellermannn The only difference between THE Holocaust and every other Holocaust was the unusual degree of success that Hitler had compared to everyone else who tried or succeeded at one. It seems to be a requirement im Germany to deny all holocausts other than THE one. In reality, Holocaust and genocide are the same word.

immibis,

@frumble @ophiocephalic @pvonhellermannn Why not? After seeing how and twist words I'm disinclined to believe an authority on that. Tell me the specific reason.

immibis,

@frumble @ophiocephalic @pvonhellermannn are you saying it's a holocaust when the country invades other countries to also wipe out the target group there, and not when they don't?

immibis,

@frumble @ophiocephalic @pvonhellermannn this is exactly why I said that Germany views the Holocaust as a unique event which is impossible to repeat BY DEFINITION. Germany can say "never again" and mean it, without lifting a finger, because it can never happen again, because if it does happen again we just won't call it the same thing so it won't actually be happening again, it will be something else happening.

immibis,

@pvonhellermannn This is the speech that the Berliner used as an excuse to storm 2500 armed thugs into a room with 250 peaceful listeners, turn off the power to the building, steal the equipment and kidnap the people. There is no antisemitism in this speech at all. The most controversial thing that is said is "you should boyxott Israel" which is even frequently said in Germany and is legal to say. It's very obvious the have ulterior notices, and what they are. @palestine

    This little girl and many other kids in Gaza lost legs and arms because Western political leaders care more about money and power than human lives. Many American politicians don’t even care about the lives of American school children if the choice is between saving lives or receiving money from the National Rifle Association.

    The Children Who Lost Limbs in Gaza https://www.newyorker.com/news/dispatch/the-children-who-lost-limbs-in-gaza

    immibis,

    @JapanProf I'm sorry, you made the mistake of calling them people. Every Western politician believes that Palestinians are not people. Some of them believe they are wild beasts and others believe they just don't exist.

    @Trustnowan @AAKL @arstechnica It has always been this way. Unlike maybe manufacturing and logistics where you have at least a shred of predictability, the big tech economy has always run on Darwinian evolution - everyone tries everything and some of them are successful, unpredictably.

    immibis,

    @AAKL @Trustnowan @arstechnica innovation is a euphemism for stealing money in many cases

    Human trafficking is always part of a negotiation. The price per human life on display.

    During this stage, Hamas would release all civilian women, children, elderly and sick hostages, in exchange for Palestinian women, minors, elderly and infirm prisoners, at a rate of 30 inmates for every hostage.
    @palestine
    @israel

    Hamas would then release female soldiers at a price per soldier of 50 Palestinians — 30 serving life sentences and 20 others chosen by Hamas.

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/hamas-could-agree-to-free-some-hostages-before-permanent-ceasefire-in-gaza-report/

    immibis,

    @RememberUsAlways @israel @palestine Sorry, which side is the aggressor?

    immibis,

    @RememberUsAlways @israel @palestine Palestine has tried to find peace a lot of times and every time they get bombed to oblivion, so a few Palestinians had a different idea of attaining peace and copied the tactics of Israel.
