One of the reasons I dislike digital camera-based film scanning rigs: I have access to a Fuji Frontier (and a Noritsu LS-600, as well as a Imacon 848) at my local darkroom. It’s so.. nice
I never want to own or maintain one of these, but I want to keep using them. Auto film advance, and no edits after scanning even for JPGs!
I was programming in #Perl last night, and it made me miss working with it. So many things have changed since I was a professional web programmer, but text manipulation is still the basis of so much of it.
What apps/websites/etc. does everyone use to track short story submissions? I used to use a spreadsheet, but suspect there may be better tools out there?
@haikushack hi there! I ran a magazine for 10 years, by myself, primarily funded from my own pocket.
no snark: feel free to bother me at any time.
silence is not consent. you need a contract with your writers. anything less is begging for trouble.
there are red flags in your guidelines. you can accept that and expect comments like mine anytime you post them, or you can listen and try to do better.
the #PublicDomain is such an important part of culture, of our collective creativeness. We have already lost so much, we should celebrate when it increases. and perhaps work to add to it ourselves.
