saw an artist, i think on here, who does surreal collage-style paper cutout works that looked like dogs/etc animal buddies but with big surreal boxy heads, big flat geometric faces, etc. the cutouts were done in a way so that the hair blended in really well so you had to look up close to tell that it was paper cutouts rather than a digital edit.

for most of my ~11 years on HRT, i could never really discern any short-term effects between "normal" and "low" estrogen levels (i inject, so my levels fluctuate over a longer timespan than with pills)

but these days it really feels like estrogen is the thin tittyskittle line between "i'm hangin in there" and "absolutely overwhelming no light at the end of the tunnel despair i can't go on anymore"

i start going into the real bad place and then my phone says "it's injection day bitch, chill tf out"

looking more for stuff like... how we went from early scifi tales and allegories at a time when many disciplines and methods where only starting out, to the rampant Scientism and TESCREALism of today... how that's played into technocracy and modulated colonial narratives and education and actual R&D initiatives and etc...

there's tons of individual connections to make between religious narratives and contemporary scifi-treated-as-reality, like general AI as both gods and eschatological prophecy. interested in that sort of thing too
