@gruber I like them and I use them, but I know I’m an outlier. I know most of them end up in the waste stream and in the quantities Apple makes, that’s a big deal so I’m okay with them being reduced or eliminated.

My iPhone 15 Pro doesn't hold onto USB-C cables very well anymore, and they always fall out or flake out.

(And I only use the USB-C port for Xcode and travel charging, so it's not from overuse.)

Anyone else have this happen? Is this most likely a "crap in the port” 5-minute-fix-at-an-Apple-store situation, or a hardware-repair I'll-be-without-my-phone-for-some-days-and-need-to-move-into-an-old-one situation?

I think it’s the betting odds. I’m not sure that’s allowed in every market/state. Having to download the app is high level opt in. In fact, for people with a gambling problem they should probably be off by default. Maybe even include the “if you have a gambling problem” blurb, too.

Launching apps via voice is often quicker than navigating to the app on the home view (especially because you can’t arrange apps on the home view). But:

“Siri, open PEE-calc” = launches Peacock

“Siri, open puh-CALC” = launches PCalc

@gruber Interesting test - I typed ‘PCalc’ into a note and had Siri speak it. She got it right. But if I ignored autocorrect and left it as ‘Pcalc,’ she says, ‘Calc’ as if the P is silent.

Not sure what it means, but it feels like it means something. 🤔
