I am making a 3d-printed case (excuse the red - still prototyping) for this off-the-shelf 6V 4500mAh battery pack for my PowerBook 180 that the original sliding door can attach to

Just need to source some contacts (nickel?) to attach the battery pack wires to on the corner of the case and it should be good to go

Got a "suspicious device joined your network" alert on my watch as I came home, and spent two hours tracking it down through logs, and working out what every single device on my network was by hardware address.

The device had joined a legacy 2.4Ghz network only used for my old printer, for one minute, and then logged off again.

Much sleuthing later, I worked out it was… my watch.

My flag always gets twisted up in the wind. I have it on those spinning-ring things on this cheap flagpole, but they rust quickly (it’s a coastal environment) and don’t spin very well.

Am I doing it wrong? Any tips to make it better? Or is it just too windy here and I should just keep going out there twice a day and untwist it?

Always a question when publishing a screenplay as a book: typeset with Courier, per the actual working drafts used in the industry, or with a proper text face like a novel? Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” is set in Sabon (my favorite text typeface):

Naive me, who had never seen one, assumed a Laserdisc was just a regular old CD-sized thing used for video, before my time. Nobody told me they were 12" in diameter 😧 People kept collections of movies like this in their homes?

@dharrison @stroughtonsmith This is what I had. The poor man's Laserdisc, branded VideoDisc in the US, it actually had a groove like a record. You had to insert the whole sleeve in the machine so you couldn't touch the disc. VHS quality, it didn't last long.
