You’re either fascist or anti-fascist. There’s no safe middle ground on that question.

Democrats who insist on courting disaffected Republicans by funding the police, enabling the military-industrial complex to be the world’s cop, and electing blue no matter who—even when blue is anti-abortion—continue to grasp at the mythical middle ground between fascism and anti-fascism.

It didn’t take long for the new progressive mayor to make me regret my vote for him:

“This is a bad omen for Nashville. Metro Legal made a preemptive effort to dismantle the [Nashville Community Oversight Board] before the new Mayor touched down. The Mayor has bought into the hype. We can expect more attacks on diversity-based boards, commissions, & policies in the future.” https://x.com/sekoufranklin/status/1708465502941503803?s=46&t=521hINbbUzSBIUxrCF_rbg

I confess I don’t have much sympathy for progressives who joined the establishment’s chorus to push us “back to normal” and let rage under Biden, even when those progressives come down with

The policy of you-do-you is failed policy, and maybe Dr. Leana Wen, who pushed vaccines devoid of all other mitigation measures, is experiencing karma now. Of course, the most unpleasant aspect of all is that her partisan advocacy likely enabled spread.

A building designed to withstand a pandemic 100 years years ago:

“Air was brought from the outside and blown through a series of water sprays or screens, heated to any desired degree, then forced through a system of ducts which distributed it to every part of the building through hundreds of small pipes which opened beneath the seats. A complete change of air took place every three minutes”

Giving people without houses money helped them pay for new homes and saved the system money. Go figure.

“This is simply an extraordinary study. Researchers gave $7,500 (CAD) to homeless people in Vancouver. The result? The program saved money. It helped many of them to move into housing faster, which saved the shelter system $8,277 per person….the transfers paid for themselves. It's literally free money.”

He was the Republican who establishment Dems loved to love even as he received tens of thousands of dollars in campaign finance from Betsy DeVos, destroyer of public education and hand-picked by Trump, friend of Putin.
