Nice pictograph and hand print I found hiking canyons in Utah the other day. (Note: I enhanced the saturation a bit in Darktable using parametric masks. The original is quite faded, sadly.)

@mrundkvist Years ago, these people were nothing more than a curious phenomenon, without much significance. Nowadays, they are not so nice anymore. Just today in a bookstore in my city (León, Spain), I have seen two recent books that justify the "scientific proofs of the existence of God".

Templars Castle of Ponferrada, Galicia, Spain.

Castle was constructed by Ferdinand II in 1178 AD, to protect pilgrims walking Camino de Santiago.

Castle was named after famed Knights of Templar who protected the town in 12th Century AD.

Fascinating world of ancient : the magnificent Trivulzio cage cup, bearing a toast that reads: BIBE VIVAS MVLTIS ANNIS - Drink! May you live for many years!
Dating 4th c. AD.
We don't know how cage cups (so-called Diatreta) were produced.
There are several theories. The most common one argues they have been cut from a thick-walled blown blank. But it was also argued that they have been cut from a pressed double-shelled blank.

On display at Archaeological Museum, Milan
