@ai6yr Good to know. Some of the homes I'm looking at have double glazing. It sounds like I need to ask about the specs to find out if it's worth paying extra for that. Depending on how old they are, it may be better to buy a home with old single-pane windows and pay out of pocket to replace them.

Are your glass panes actual glass? In new mobile homes the part you see through is often plastic. It's fugly! All wavy and dark.

Covid is increasing quickly in the East Bay and in the North Bay also, of the San Francisco Bay Area. Windsor just shot up 300 points and a friend in Brentwood got it from an elementary school grandkid. The Contra Costa map on wastewater data doesn't show it yet so I'm putting out a warning here.

@rolandelli We're still in Medium and trending down toward Low in Santa Clara County.

But if the East Bay, City and North Bay are trending up, we won't be far behind. I don't change my habits based on the data, though. I mask indoors and don't eat inside.

@rolandelli I have some Auras but the elastic broke off from a few of them for me. So I don't trust them. I use KN95s. They have kept me safe so far.

I shop in stores but only at less busy times. I've always hated crowds, so that's not a change for me. I used to get groceries after 9 pm in the before times.

@ai6yr I was wondering the same, so I read the transcript.

It's so you can ask Dropbox questions without having to search and skim through documents yourself. It can extract information from videos, slide decks, images and of course text documents.

That seems valuable to me. I'd probably like to check the answer myself by going to the file Dropbox got the answer from, but that's much less work than finding it myself. 1/2

@ai6yr If you look at other people's file systems, many have no organization at all. Or, even worse, multiple overlapping systems.

They find things through search or by repeatedly asking their more organized coworkers (=me🙄) for the same document.

When I coach junior designers, I show them my file organization. I also tell them that they need to pull up anything they want to show in a meeting before the meeting. Spending minutes searching for files kills your credibility.

Hmm, took a zinc and hoping for the best. One of my relatives was sniffly in the car, I should have just wore an N95 when picking them up from the airport and dealt with the crap I'd get about wearing a mask from the family. (I generally don't care about what anyone things, but in-family politics are something else...). "But the pandemic is over, that's what the CDC said" normies.

Montrose Search and Rescue: "Today, our team responded to a vehicle over the side call on Angeles Forest Hwy at MM 19.36. The vehicle was about 300' over the side. By the time our unit arrived on scene, the patient had self-extricated and was on the roadway. The roadway was wet and slick. This weekend, we have had two other weather-related calls. One hiker was suffering from exposure in the snow and two cyclists needed to be rewarmed by us. When the weather is excessively cold, hot, windy, rainy, etc, please reconsider your plans to visit the wilderness. "

People on Twitter are debating whether a person using uncommon words like "delve" are trying to sound smarter than they are, or worse, are ChatGPT bots, because "normal" people don't talk like that.

You don't have to get upset, or embroiled in the debate. Not worth the time or attention. But I'll share some important context as your friendly neighborhood Nigerian 🙋🏿‍♂️

Many Nigerians have bigger English language vocabularies and better command of grammar than the typical American or English person
