@massivelyop A few points. 1) Liking anything made by Riot, a terrible company. Yes, they're bad. Blizz is bad. There is no good company. I've given up on expecting ANY company to be decent. 2) I don't care about an MMO from Riot. I care about a competitor to WoW. It's either gonna be better than WoW or the competition will make WoW better. Win-win for me.

Here, most of the engagement, lately, is complaining about what I'm doing or not doing. Unlike what I experience on Twitter, BlueSky, Insta and Threads. And to the point of losing all pleasure.

Yes, I rarely post alt text because it's time-consuming, I have to manage 5 accounts and there aren't enough people on my Patreon for me to devote enough time to it.

Yes, sometimes I put links to Twitter because I've been on it for 5 years and...

Too many people take infrastructure for granted.

It's not even: "I don't use this, so why should I pay taxes for it?"

It's: "I am completely unaware of the tremendous, heroic efforts that are required on a day-to-day basis to keep civilization running, and me personally safe, healthy, and comfortable, and I refuse to educate myself on the subject - so why should I pay taxes for it?"

The machinery of civilization is becoming ever more complex, yet people are still crying out for "simple solutions", as if there is such a thing anywhere outside of the fevered imaginations of populists.

The crowdfunded, excellent 80s martial arts film spoof that is so absurd, it breaks the cool meter?

The full-length movie - Kung Fury II - has been in limbo for years due to an investor screwing the production team over after they finished filming.

But the film crew prevailed, and the movie is near!
