Radiolaria are marine protozoa that build incredibly intricate glass-like skeletons from silica. We are working on an art project generating radiolaria inspired structures and #3dprinting them. Hereโs one of our first attempts
@ZacBelado@nervous_jessica not these exact prints but theoretically we could print them in wax resin for casting. Might need a lot of sprues for all the spines though
Anyone know about decks? Mine is pressure treated, covered in algae? and the finish is worn off. What do I need to do refinish it? Pressure washing? Sanding? What kind of stain should I use?
We made a double-sided jigsaw puzzle of the sun and moon. Flipping pieces over simulates a total solar eclipse. It's available now in our shop! Please share with folks who might be interested https://n-e-r-v-o-u-s.com/shop/product.php?code=422
The solar eclipse inspired our new puzzle design! It's double-sided: the sun on one side and the moon on the other. By flipping pieces over, you can gradually eclipse the sun turning day to night https://n-e-r-v-o-u-s.com/blog/?p=9636
Super fun house ownership problems: we canโt find our septic tankโฆdespite knowing approximately where it is. Iโm starting to suspect itโs really really far down so no matter how far we dig weโre not going to reach it. Itโs this concrete box in the bottom left of the photo.
@nervous_jessica we have a little pencil scratching somewhere from previous owner saying something like โ30ft from house cornerโ. Luckily due to leach field we knew โwhichโ corner, but even so 30 ft along an arc is a lot of places to try.
@nervous_jessica oh wow, I love the detail, concept and installation. The light play in that space is wonderful, providing a whole other level of 'system' in shadow. Thanks for sharing the blog.
Another day, another custom wedding ring. This time in yellow gold with a lab-grown sapphire (this is just a rendering) #jewelry#generativedesign#3dprinting
