Announcing the program for the GNOME release party on March 30+31 🥳️

Imagine a running locally on a smartphone...

It could be used to fuel an offline assistant that would be able to easily add an appointment to your calendar, open an app, etc. without issues.

This has come to reality with this proof of concept using the Phi-2 2.8B transformer model running on /e/OS.

It is slow, so not very usable until we have dedicated chips on SoCs, but works (and !)

@hbons a dedicated view to the whole thing. Seems like forced into menus and sidebars last time I checked. Was looking into it when trying to find a cross platform way of handling git stuff. Found lazygit to be the best option for me. Not perfect but great.

@hbons i can't remember what exactly was lacking, I can say I like how lazygit does it. Great overview of everything but you can switch into spezialized views/modes for different actions. @graves501 @jake4480 I deleted my post when I noticed I was just mentioning vivaldi's negative aspects and no benefits. here they are again, for completeness: vivaldi is not open source and since it's based on chromium ad-blocking will be very limited due to extension manifest 3.

@nixCraft it actually depends. For debugging or complex problems I either have white noise or nothing at all. For creative thinking or when I exactly know what to do I listen to mostly electronic music. Generally less often than I used to. Maybe it's an age thing.
