    Razer Kiyo Pro is at a historical low price. I bought one a couple years ago, for a bit more money, and it's been worth it. Gets you image quality that won't embarrass you during a video chat.

    @coffeegeek I see the rub... They're talking about federating, but it would be a federation built on their own AT Protocol platform, not the ActivityPub platform that Mastodon uses. They're currently incompatible.

    @hacks4pancakes I once got so upset by a vendor's aggressive tactics that I created a rule in Exchange, blocking anything from their domain with an auto reply to their general sales address stating we would not do business with them because of the individual salesperson.

    Moral of the story: Don't piss off the people with full admin rights on the exchange server.

    @BlackAzizAnansi Ford F-150 Lightning Pro. Picked it up for about $42k after rebates last January. l haven't had this much fun in a truck since I was 17. Love it. Can't recommend it enough. I thought I was going to have to worry about range, but it's turned out to be no big deal. I plug it in at home every night, and every morning it has a "full tank" ready to rock.

    I'd just realized that I spent the last three weekends doing hours and hours of covid crisis counseling for people exposed, positive, have pos relatives, or lost someone to covid/LC, when the Whole Foods deli guy started lecturing me about how covid is over and we don't wear masks anymore

    @samhainnight @ABScientist @mambear404 @violetblue My entire family is vaxxed and boosted as far as anyone can possibly be. We mask everywhere. We still caught it at the end of September when my youngest briefly took her mask off in class near a little girl who was sick.

    Vaccines are important. They do a great job at lessening the impact of the illness, but they're no stand-in for a well fitted KN-95.

    @billyjoebowers For me personally, the advantage is making a week's worth for grab-and-go breakfasts in one throw so I don't have to think about it while I'm waking up. Also, I prefer a cold breakfast, so this fits. 🙂
