Biden is saying if Iran retaliates following Israel’s bombing of its territory in Damascus, the U.S. will get directly involved.
The same as saying Israel can do whatever it pleases to its neighbours and the U.S. will defend it upon any retaliation.
That is blatant provocation and fuelling the spreading of the war in the region.
The only thing that will ultimately bring peace in the middle east is for Israel to change its expansionist policies.

Donziger v Chevron is an issue of immense proportions and I hope more people will become aware of what it’s all about and get behind justice to stop mega rich corporations getting away with murder and environmental destruction.
In the 1990s Steven Donziger worked with indigenous communities in the Amazon to hold Chevron account after dumping billions of cancer causing oil waste into the rivers and streams of the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador - they did it for 25 years.
A legal case was won and Chevron ordered to pay $10B in damages.
Chevron hasn’t paid a cent but instead hired 1000s of lawyers to take Steven Donziger down. The crime remains and a battle is underway to obtain a Pardon for Donziger from President Biden.

I have to say this: although I absolutely condemn what Hamas has done - I can’t ignore the oppression of the Palestinian people in their territories. This was / is a powder keg going to explode sometime.
And to me depriving Gaza of basic necessities to sustain civilian life in their homeland - is a crime on innocent non-combatants.

I believe Albanese did get certain things wrong with the referendum but it’s too late for that now. Being the PM and making leadership decisions for an entire country is a tough gig.
I believe there was a strong case for him to pospone the referendum when bipartisan support was withdrawn and the polls were so bad - he knew it was going down
