I cannot overstate how dangerous to free speech and a healthy democracy it is to redefine all anti-Zionism and criticism of the state of Israel as antisemitism. You know who's loudly critical of Zionism and the Israeli govt? Jews. A lot of Jews.

troglodyt,

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @evacide

the zionist movement consists mainly of christians

troglodyt,

@Hunterrules0_o @GhostOnTheHalfShell @evacide

what do you mean by "from isreal"? born there? if so, how many are that? a million or so?

there are many, many more protestant christians and they are generally antisemitic and zionist

Dominion wind project gets final 2 permits

"The facility, 25 miles in the Atlantic off the Oceanfront, will have 176 turbines capable of generating enough electricity to power up to 660,000 homes.

The more than $9 billion project is due to come on line in 2026."

troglodyt,

@minfer @CelloMomOnCars @ToniScott

sorry, my spanish is really bad, but that looks like a business magazine rather than a scientific journal

troglodyt,

The Guardian: Keir Starmer faces discontent as Labour MPs reject union jack election flyers

Members say flag may alienate ethnic minority voters as some associate it with far right

(Starmer really IS an idiot if he didn't see this coming. The union flag is a nationalist symbol: the National Front stole it in the 1970s.)

Great, MS Teams now has suggested replies in chats!

Never would I have thought of a concise, informative reply such as “ok, thanks” by myself.

AI to the rescue!

troglodyt,

@slothrop

now it's only one click to say 'ok, thanks' when they message you about coming to a meeting to get fired, lovely

How could I forget Anvil???
Anvil will battle some big names in my poll madness thingy.

I have to stay neutral (but please vote Anvil!)

ℹ️ Vote for the band you like most, not the one you think is best.

🔁 appreciated 🤘

troglodyt,

@derthomas

haven is such a banger album, couldn't make myself vote for anything else

Sweden's organised crime makes more money from running private health clinics than from selling drugs, warns the agency for fighting economic crime.

So will the right-wing government now send in the military to stop privatisation?

https://sverigesradio.se/artikel/varningen-gangkriminella-driver-vardcentraler

troglodyt,

@CubeThoughts @Loukas

the popular illegal drugs are quite cheap, the only one that's even remotely gated by income would be cocaine. even kids can afford a cannabis habit, and anyone with a wage can afford an amphetamine habit

the drug distribution that is somewhat connected to middle class 'party drug' use has too small volume to be more than a side gig for street vendors of cannabis and amphetamine

my main source would be direct knowledge of dealers and users, but you'd see these patterns

troglodyt,

@CubeThoughts @Loukas

in studies of urban sewage water for example

there have been some criminal cases against darknet vendors and market makers too, where the whiteness shows but it's a partial data set and hence somewhat unreliable. in a few cases i've known people in both roles that were quite white

i haven't been particularly interested in the criminology in this area for years so i'm kind of rusty on what regular studies to read but you could basically go to the big ones, school quizzes

troglodyt,

@CubeThoughts @Loukas

, the eu institutional ones, sewage analyses, and so on

sweden doesn't study illegal drug use in adults though, we mainly put questionnaires in schools and wing it from there, because knowing for sure how big a portion of the public that's criminal in this way would be bad for the image of cops and political parties

troglodyt,

@Loukas @CubeThoughts

yeah, much like sewage analysis at rosenbad and the parliament would

or cop offices

illegal drug use is a 'lots of people everywhere does it' kind of problem, where a large portion of users are 'i need to wind down/up' users rather than 'just want to have fun' users
