I need to get back into this game I've only ever scratched the surface and then feel like I need to start over from the beginning every time I revisit so I can remember what I was doing. I freaking love trains though.
I keep trying to start, but quickly encounter perhaps overly strong negative feelings towards being a person destroying a fictional alien ecosystem for corporate greed, and quit again.
I run into the same problem when trying to play games like Before We Leave (iirc that title), which involves carpet-industrializing entire planets so that you can make rockets go do the same thing to even more planets.
Maybe when the story aspect is finished, if it's done well/is satisfying and involves escaping and or one-upping the corp, then I'll finally play it. 🙃

I'm from Canada, so the familiar title of this DOS classic for me is Out of This World. In other regions of our world it was known as Another World or even Outer World. I never beat this game! In fact, I don't think I got very far at all. I should really give it the ol' college try. It left a lasting impression on me, I would watch the opening cinematic over and over and over. @RatsAmassing I've been testing out different emulators on my Steam Deck but I've kept coming back to play PS1 games like Star Ocean Second Story and Suikoden
@sickday I've heard the Steam Deck is a great emulation powerhouse. I definitely want to get one myself. Perhaps in the next iteration of it. A friend of mine has been playing the new SO. I plan to play 1-3 eventually as I've heard those games are great.
