Some of his recurring characters were Lowly Worm, Huckle Cat, Mistress Mouse the tow truck driver, Wild Bill Hiccup, Gold Bug and Dingo the reckless driver. @dulsi It's basically only useful for sketching, which isn't GIMP's strong point. But you could sketch some raster images and load them into Inkscape for redrawing them as vector art later on.
