It's only 140kg (what I would still consider #Lightweight ) but I couldn't lift it more than 2 times in a row. So I tried to get as much as possible with a #pittforce approach.
#diet now finally show's it's effects on my performance. It's still 1 week left before making the Xmas break and evaluating things for the coming year.

sergeant, Dutch @TheGymNerd I did not do any deadlifts for a long time, but I never lifted over a 160kg.
One has to consider if he wants to be a powerlifter or a bodybuilder, which isn't the same.
It's nice for the ego to lift over 200kg, but in the long run it wil wreck your body.
Durability and endurance is better.

bear_pile, I've been lifting off and on for a while now and am great at building muscle and bulking. My focus has been mostly powerlifting. My routines have really focused around pure strength and power.
Now that I'm getting older I want to change it up and start trying to lose the layer of fat around the mid section and getting more defined. Problem is that I haven't really found a successful routine behind this.
Currently I do martial arts 3 - 4 times a week for about 45 minutes at a time and have started going back to the gym again a little less than a month now. I try to go 5 - 6 times a week for about an hour at a time.
Before anyone tells me diet is key I have recently started counting my macros with a 40/40/20 split protien/carbs/fat and at about 1800 calories a day. I'm not looking for that I know it's important and I'm starting that journey.
What I do want to know is what is a good routine to be in as far as my actual lifting goes. What exercises/lifts should I concentrate on what set/rep count should be my goal here?
hankg, I'll admit to having more than my fair share of struggles with body dysmorphia even if it never lead to health endangering behaviors. As I continue to keep my health and fitness dialed in I've been watching a lot more health and fitness YouTube videos too. For anyone struggling with body image issues I would say do not under any circumstances watch videos where body builders critique physiques. For example take these two images of Michael B. Jordan that one YouTuber was using as part of answering a question about what he thought his routine was and if he was using performance enhancing drugs. The physique on the left he described as "You wouldn't think much of his physique...kind of lean...no appreciable muscle definition." The one on the right, "Looks the same...maybe with a bit more fat packed on...not much more muscle...probably 4-5 pounds of pure extra fat." If I was in a negative body image headspace that could probably get me in a bit of a funk. Someone really struggling with it, especially with a goal of getting extra muscle would easily have very negative psychological repurcussions of hearing something like that about a legitimately good physique. Perhaps it is appropriate for competition critiquing but I doubt most listening to it, especially someone with body dysmorphia, would take it that way. #BodyBuilding #fitness #health #longevity #BodyPositivity
jay, @hankg When it comes to anything fitness related on YouTube, I always search/watch either not logged in or from an account that's not my primary one. Because I cannot deal with all the toxic crap that will show up in my recommended videos as a result.
hankg, @jay I generally don't look at the recommendations. Sometimes I do but 90% of the time I'm only looking at my Subscriptions Page and the stuff in my Watch Later list. I agree its algorithm can be very sub-optimal. Its ad algorithm comically so.

Fabiana Veras was found by a co-worker after being attacked by a strange man.
Veras, who worked at a clinic as a psychologist, was found by a co-worker around 6pm local time. She had been bound and gagged and had clear cuts on her hands and all over her body. The Sun reported that CCTV showed footage of a man entering the clinic around 5pm. He was wearing a face mask, glasses, gloves, and a covering on his head.
Police reported that the man took Veras’ phone with him. It was found destroyed, along with three knives, two brass knuckles, and a pistol that was stained with blood. João Carvalho was arrested on Wednesday at his home in Natal, which is over 140 miles away from where the crime was committed.
