Anyone up for a de-stash-along like craftser.org used to have?
Hello! I figured it was time to get more active around here, and I was wondering if anyone here is up for a de-stash-along?...
keeya, to FiberArts Here are finally the bags, and the patterns, I made some time ago. :blobfoxpeekowo:
I have two of them for sale, one with yellow/orange (summer) and one with pink/purple (spring) lining. They both have a super vibrant rainbow strap to carry. If you want any of them, both the bags and the pattern are available from the following links.

View into the inside of the spring fox version, this one has purple accents and pink foxes on the lining.
Stratski, to FiberArts Dutch Today's #MeMadeMay is the same as yesterday, so here's a meme instead. #sewing

jonobie, to FiberArts I’m a bit stressed putting together my new Kromanski; it has text about voided warranty if the front and back are flipped. It doesn’t have nearly as clear instructions as the SampleIt did. Also, my right side heddle blocks’ little wooden nubs is not really going in. :-(
Can anyone tell if there’s anything obviously wrong so far? Also, on the Kromskis, is the logo generally on the front side or the back side? That might help me orient a bit.
lia_pas, to FiberArts #WIPWednesday • I actually managed a lot of #embroidery this week! I finished the burgundy in the left side of the abdomen and started on the right. #VagusNerve #SciArt
tansy, to FiberArts Folk might be interested to know that across the month of May, Sustainable Fashion Week’s #MendItMay campaign invites people to mend one piece of clothing, celebrating repair as an act of empowerment.
I think I'll have a go at my #mending pile. If anyone wants to share mending projects or #craft pics, that'd be lovely.
The stats for why #repair is great are pretty compelling:
vaviurka, to FiberArts Should he be a unicorn, or do i leave it as pony?

Pony, red bush. Accent in his colourful hair.
Brodyberg, to FiberArts Made a drape today, I call it “Easter tornado” #sewing #handmade #fashion
Front quarter view of drape on dress form featuring the bow which decorates the wearers left shoulder and which highlights the gorgeous expanse of cowl there.
Back of dress form and drape showing the button closure which unifies the fabric forming the cowls.
infryq, to FiberArts Who’s got two thumbs and won at bobbin chicken!
blogdiva, to FiberArts ugh. no matter how long i cut the thread, it is never enough for the portion i have sew by hand.
moira, @blogdiva I absolutely don't try. Unless it's like three or four stitches, I thread a needle with an arm's length of thread and if I have some left over I tie it off and use it next time. (Yes I'll have a few needles threaded with different colours at times. This actually works out for me so now it's kind of a mending hack. xD )

DanielMenjivar, to FiberArts Hello @sewing community! Long time no hear from me… Thanks to everyone who sent me DMs asking if I’m OK.
Due to ongoing health stuff, I’ve had to make hard choices about prioritizing how I spend my time, which meant spending a lot less time on Mastodon.
Last month, I was invited to test a new (upcoming) #sewing pattern for which I created a 21-page report.
And this month, I’ve been busy setting up cameras, lights, microphones, etc. for some upcoming #YouTube videos… https://www.youtube.com/DanielMenjivar
DanielMenjivar, Just released today! A new #sewing pattern by Thread Theory, Bamberton Shorts. @sewing

Available in a huge selection of sizes for both men & women.
Axiom, to FiberArts Shearing season has begun and I snagged two really beautiful Finn sheep fleeces from a local hobby farm!
The owner said her sheep are pets and she's really glad the wool went to someone who can use it 😊
Now to decide WHAT to use it for ...
@handspinning #FiberArts #wool
the same black fleece up close, showing off the wonderful crimp and long staple length. My hand is in the picture for scale, showing the staple goes from the tips of my fingers to about the middle of the palm - roughly 5 inches
a white fleece, not quite as large as the black one but still impressive. It's falling over both sides of the skirting table and barely kissing the ground
a lock of wool up close. It has crimp to die for and is similar in length to the black fleece - about 5 inches, or two thirds the length of my hand
gannet, @Axiom @MsHearthWitch @handspinning Beautiful!
KathyReid, to FiberArts This is incredible - Tracey Clement, a lecturer at #ACU, used #embroidery to visualise the devastating #bushfires in Australia.
Her work is rage expressed in thread, each stitch a jibe at the people who continue to vacillate in the face of a climate emergency.
Incredible.

elfkin, to FiberArts The commission for Paul’s first #RibbonShirt is all done, save a thread trim and wash. My only regret is that I haven’t a mannequin on which to display it for photos.
Like all Elfkin creations, this shirt is made from a custom pattern drafted exactly to Paul’s measurements and was assembled to classic #couture standards. #sewing #art
Same shirt seen from back with a matching ribbon decoration.
Closeup of abalone button.
Closeup of shirt cuff.
MsHearthWitch, @elfkin Absolutely stunning work.
SandHillThicket, to FiberArts Delphis' baby #fleece is already spoken for! 😊 I hope this lady likes her fleece. 🤞🏼 #handspinning #wool #HeritageWool #HeritageBreed #GulfCoast #SheepOfMastodon @fiberarts @handspinning

drandrewv2, to FiberArts Some midweek #sewing happened today… the beginning of a dress I cut out at the weekend. #dressmaking #handmade
morayner, to FiberArts Ça t'a déjà pris, l'envie de fabriquer tes propres peluches?
https://www.is.ocha.ac.jp/~yuki/plushie/index-e.html
