2022 sorgte Palästinenserpräsident Abbas auf einer Pressekonferenz in Berlin für Empörung: Er verglich das Vorgehen Israels gegen die Palästinenser mit dem Holocaust. Nach zwei Strafanzeigen wurden nun die Ermittlungen eingestellt.

As #Biden’s trip to Israel was being planned — a 1st for a US pres… — it was decided that #POTUS should also travel to #Jordan, where he would meet w/King #Abdullah II. Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El-#Sisi & Mahmoud #Abbas, pres of the #PalestinianAuthority in the #WestBank, would also travel to #Amman, Jordan, for the meeting, where Biden planned to emphasize his concern for the #Palestinians & efforts to get #HumanitarianAid flowing into #Gaza.
Meanwhile #Israel's defence minister, Yoav Gallant, has said Israel will sever all ties with the #Gaza Strip once its war with #Hamas is over -- it would, as he put it, end its "responsibility" for life there.
The #Hamas authorities say #Israeli attacks have now killed more than 4100 people.
