"Soon after the portal began streaming, videos of inappropriate behavior began circulating online. These include people in Dublin holding up images of the 9/11 attacks to the camera, swear words and other inappropriate images displayed on phone screens, and people mooning at New York."
@schizanon yeah that's a classic installation. I believe it started as a way to keep trouble from happening in that alley, by triggering motion sensor activated displays, and grew from there
Handphone Table is a 1978 art installation by Laurie Anderson consisting of a five-foot long wooden table with a hidden sound system heard only by "becoming actively involved with the work".
"The inspiration for The Handphone Table began when Anderson was writing on an electric typewriter and, in a moment of frustration, put her head in her hands, elbows on the table."
It's interesting to see how much David Galbraith's art installation at the Stockingfield Bridge on the Forth and Clyde Canal has changed already. It represents nature reclaming the city's idustrial past, and so far nature seems to be doing a very good job of it!
@thisismyglasgow not an Austin Rover, just a Rover. My father bought one of those cars second hand in 1959, the model ceased production in 1964. Rover wouldn't join the Leyland group until 1967, and Austin wouldn't join the group for another year after that.
