Instead of making the already-too-thin iPad Pro thinner they should have added more battery capacity. People rave about the battery life of iPads , but if you use processor intensive applications they don’t last all day. Far from it. From the very beginning I used my iPad Pro plugged in, because it didn’t last a days painting.
I have a terminal case of distrohopping disease that seems to come up whenever a new version of #KDE#Plasma or #GNOME is released.
This lead me to install the beta of #Fedora 40's KDE spin this weekend, as I couldn't wait to play with Plasma 6.
Impressions so far, ignoring all the great user invisible work that went into things like porting it all to QT 6, are pretty good, while feature-wise it's not a big leap, it feels like a much more polished version of Plasma 5, which is not a bad thing.

Younger me would have voted Flying. Current me voted invisibility. Assuming I can control it, invisibility would make for much faster and more accurate medical exams. 😅
Seems Home Assistant nowadays has to be installed either in a virtual machine or by reformatting an entire PC. Not ideal if I already have a machine that is supposed to perform some other tasks too. I assumed one could just install some packages from a 3rd party repository like in the good old days.
Pro-tip from @ramsey for job-seekers: if you are an programmer with 10+ years of experience, skip the “senior” positions and look for “Staff” or “Principal” positions. They pay a lot better than “senior”.

I never officially had any title beyond senior, despite 43+ years of professional experience including some management and managing partner positions. Also, the idea that someone can be a senior after 5 years is kind of laughable; their focus is too narrow and their wisdom too shallow. #getoffmylawn 😁
