Never did find out who used to DJ on “The Night Train” on #Brighton Festival Radio circa 1993/94 but it was a great show & I often listened all night to the rolling scree of earlyish (ugh) #IDM & other electronic oddities. They MUST be on one of these things & if they are and find this: cheers! It was a soundtrack to a strange but (mostly) lovely time in my life & vaguely inspiring #FestivalRadio
Somehow Boxcutter never really got on my radar, but wow, he made some good stuff.
Typical UK electronic stuff, but not original and excellent IMO.
Makes me think of Squarepusher, Apex Twin, Vex'd etc. Lot's of jungle, dubstep, dub, 2step, garage influences in there.
Some of my all-time favorite album artwork. From a one-off collab b/t Richard James (aka Aphex Twin) and Mike Paradinas (aka μ-Ziq), I love the faux Milton Bradley art, and "Expert Knob Twiddlers" is such a silly (and kinda bawdy lmao) album title. It's also a pretty neat album!
hey #synthfam,
my new four-song EP, "Awake in a Garden of Stars" is now available for pre-order on #Bandcamp for the special price of just $1.
the EP will be released on September 8. it's filled with music that combines #synthwave, #drumandbass, and #IDM, and i couldn't be more excited about it.

So I'm starting up the #BandCamp recommendations thread.
Please feel free to recommend your own work, your friends work or just something cool you would like to share. If it's on BandCamp it's welcome in the thread.
Sonically distant yet also highly respected, Agalloch - In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion comes next. This whole album is a masterpiece for any fan of rock or metal music. Clean and rough vocals, post rock and bits of black metal, great lyrics, great album.
Thirdly, from Cascadia is Alda - Shadow of the Mountain. While the album has plenty of metal, this is an acoustic folk song.
Pick things up and go fast next with Slander - Shadow of the Night! It's time for some riffs and leather jacket ballads about lost love.
Last, anarcho-leftist hip-hop act Leaf - Southern Shadows. Very different from the rest of this list, the album is rooted in #idm.
The remarkable @yoniden offers us the Transmission Received From Galaxy Nine Nine, a groovy space adventure powered entirely by the Digitakt and Digitone. With just these two black boxes, Yoni takes us on an interstellar trip thru #breakbeat, #BigBeat, #HipHop, #IDM, #funk, digital soul and pretty much every other rhythm/groove based electronic music of the past half century. A maximalist influence set, minimally executed to brilliant effect. Delightful.
With that in mind I thought I might start a #BandCamp recommendations thread. Please feel free to add to the list. Please add your own works, your friends work or just things you really dig!
As long as it's on bandcamp, it's welcome in the thread!
If you can, please tell us a little about the music, or give us a few hints or tags. It helps when there is so much out there to know what kinda thing it is. Every type of music is welcome! #Music
Just great.
It's kinda #IDM#EDM if that makes sense. Some really sweet and seriously lush sounds here with big #Atmospheric vibes and really deep builds.
I just found out about #PyRadio today and I gotta say it is effin’ awesome. The kiddo and I have been chillin’ with the #Chillhop and #IDM channels for a good chunk of the day 😎
i have a few more codes to share for my new album, "Unknown Unknowns", which was released on Triplicate Records ... the music combines #synthwave, #IDM, and #drumandbass ... hope you enjoy it! 😀
