6 #journalists working for indy media were arrested in #Russia in a span of a few hours at the end of March. Reporters Without Borders (RSF) condemns these arbitrary arrests as a flagrant attempt to silence Russia’s last independent media outlets and calls for the release of those still held.

Two more journalists, from Al Jazeera and AFP, were killed yesterday by the Israel "Defence" Forces.
Journalists are considered civilians by the Geneva Conventions. The state of Israel is guilty of yet another war crime. The US and UK governments are complicit.
Israel trumpets its "democracy", yet its military systematically targets journalists in Gaza, who are also being suppressed in Israel itself.
More than 100 Palestinian journalists and cameramen have been killed in Gaza in less than three months. Journalists are classed as civilians by the Geneva Conventions and are to be protected in times of war. The Israeli state and its military are deliberately targeting journalists in Gaza and the killing is being enabled by its allies.
