Would it be neat to have a keyboard that’s application aware? That is, get reports from the system about the active program and then change to a suitable layout if configured for it?

Found the Atreus during our big office migration. It got lost behind a bookshelf. Plugged it in and woo baby twenty words per minute.

@randomgeek That’s an… interesting… layout. Of course, as a I’d be hitting that “Fun” key a lot for sigils and punctuation.

My heart goes pitter-pat for the space-cadet--esque “Super” key (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_key_%28keyboard_button%29)

Today I am thrilled to be able to share something we at Studio have been working on for the past year: a brand new construction tool. What makes me particularly excited about this product is that we built in robust and support from the start and leveraged markup everywhere we could. This very well may be the first digital geometry tool ever built, and we'd love your feedback.

I need to go on Fiver or something, and find somebody to check over this for me.

It's a numpad, with a built in RP2040 and USB pass-through.

If this works, it'll be my template for most things I would want to build.

If it doesn't work, it's a pretty expensive mistake.

Same PCB, zoomed in on surface-mount components.

question. My kid seems to have the gift for piano and his teacher wants us to get a piano (not feasible in our space) or a keyboard with realistic key weight, sustain and other piano-like features. Any recommends? Mid-price I guess. Quality but he's not touring with Flock of Seagulls anytime soon.

The Bat-Keyboard was a non-Qwerty chorded keyboard that aimed to make it easier and faster to type.

Possibly beneficial for certain types of muscular or tendinous ailments? I don't know.

Chorded keyboards and keysets have been around since the 1830s on the telegraph, and they have been tested many times in computing. Notably by Engelbart on the NLS and later on the Xerox Alto and others, but they have never seen popular adoption.

Okay, so this is weird. I had my KBt:RE working with my , but it suddenly stopped. It would go into pairing mode, but my tablet refused to see it.... So, I built out a CiY Tester68, and it is working just fine with my tablet.

Rather baffling.

any musical people have things you like to eat or drink while you play? For me It's jelly sweets like Haribo or wine gums. A good cup of tea always helps too.
