Now that my awesome #NixOS configuration has my #ThinkPad rockin' and rollin', I figured it was high time that my #MacBookPro received the same overhaul treatment!
Was finally able to get around to setting up Nix Darwin on it, as well as reconfiguring my tiled and transparent windows and custom taskbar! God, I love how #nix can make anything even more awesome!!! 🙌🤘 :apple: :nixos:

I considered doing something similar since my other laptop is beautifully configured with #NixOS , but then I decided just to integrate Nix Darwin with my #MacBookPro and spice it up with tiled windows and custom taskbar...it's now pure awesomeness 👌🤘😎 :nixos: :apple: #yabai#sketchybar

La durada de la bateria dels #MacbookPro amb processador #Arm és imbatible.
Des d'ahir a les 16:18 que estava al 100% fins les 22:30, quan al vaig parar amb un càrrega per sobre del 50%, van 6 hores i 12 minuts.
Avui porta engegat 1 hora i 20 minuts i la bateria està al 46%.
En total ja son 7 hores i 32 minuts funcionant amb bateria. I li queda quasi la meitat! brutal 👏
No hi ha cap altre marca que superi a #Apple en això.
Nerd-Advice needed: Lots of software does not work on my old #MacBookPro (2011) anymore. Any Idea what to install? Simply #Debian? Or should I try #freebsd , #openbsd or #netbsd? Or something esoteric like Plan 9? The device in question is not in heavy use, rather a kitchen-computer for simple tasks.

My mother’s MacBook Pro (2017, non Touch Bar) intermittently dies with a “startup disk not found” error (blinking folder icon with a question mark). My latest hypothesis is that it happens when the battery is above about 85% charged. I have replaced the battery but no change. Anyone heard of anything like this? #macOS#MacBook#MacBookPro

Just fired up my old #MacbookPro (2011 model) that was working fine 6 months ago (has been kept charged), and am getting all sorts of bad things on the display.
It is full of tiny black lines running horizontally, and entire desktop is offset to the left about 2”, so I see the left side of the desktop on the right side of the display.
Is my video card shot or does that sound like an operating system glitch?
Finally took the plunge on #Sonoma today. Anyone else wait until the last possible second to update their #macOS because I absolutely hate updating mine. It's dealing with #R and #Xcode for me.
