It was such a long time since I've last used this OS, way back with my EEEPC! Felt really nostalgic. Perhaps I'll do a review or deep dive in a future video :)
I was trying to install Debian on an older Intel NUC. The installer gave me enormous trouble, failing at several different points in the process when installing from two different USB drives. I finally switched semirandomly to @peppermintos (https://peppermintos.com/) ... which just worked. It's for any practical purpose Debian with a different installer and default software mix. Based on a sample of 1 person, highly recommended. #Debian#Linux#PeppermintOS
huh, apparently #Xfce already comes with a dropdown terminal a la Guake. Not sure if it's enabled by default in a vanilla install of Xfce or if it's something #PeppermintOS added, but cool!
@codemonkeymike#nixOS (and future updates) will fit in 16GB? I'd imagine a few browser updates and generations and space would be gone.
I've upgraded 2 CB's myself. One I replaced the 8gb drive with a 128gb drive and it's currently got #voidlinux. The other I left a 16gb drive in and have #PeppermintOS currently, #antixlinux previously.
