25 fucking years and fuck all has been done,
Is it really shocking that the politicians aren't doing jack shit about genocides over seas when they don't even give a flying dry fuck about masacres domestically?
Just two days after the deadly school shooting in Perry, Iowa, people cringed when empathy-challenged tRump said, “It’s horrible…But we have to get over it.”
It’s been 8 weeks now since the shooting. The dead are buried, other victims are healing, school resumed, basketball resumed, etc.
But no news about where the shooter got his guns, what his parents knew, was he bullied, were there red flags…
"Peter’s parents, who do not speak English fluently, struggled to keep up with those conversations, or to take the kind of action that might have given them an outlet for their grief."
A DOJ report finds that 377 officers waited 77 Mins at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, as 19 children and 2 teachers were killed by 1 AR-15.
"The scathing 600-page report lays out the 'haphazard' initial response in which hundreds of law enforcement officers stood by as the massacre unfolded."
The Federal DOJ has released the official Critical Incident Review of the tragic Uvalde, TX school shooting.
At over 600 pages, this thorough and rightfully damning review identifies multiple key failures in the school shooting. The report is a result of tens of thousands of documents and over 200 interviews.
4 other students & an administrator were injured. One of the injuries was critical. Officials did not release their identities. The shooter, Dylan Butler, a 17-year-old student at Perry HS, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Law enforcement believe he acted alone.
If the #SchoolShooting is caused by loneliness, then it makes sense when they happen in tiny, spread-out towns.
Per-capita homicide rates are generally lower in cities than rural areas, and crime went down in 2023. If there's an undercurrent of fear in the media (mainstream and far-right), it's not aligned with reality... But it definitely has a purpose.
