This is not to say that this will remain static in the future; to the contrary, I expect it will not, but right now? The reality is that #Mastodon puts roadblocks in the way of ease of use, partly by design, partly by neglect or incompetence (hard to tell the difference).
#Mastodon has a very, very long way to go before it approaches the level of ease of use and polish that Twitter had before they started restricting API access (remember when #TweetDeck was a real thing?) and sold their souls to the devil.
But Mastodon will never on its own, be able to provide the level of confidence in long-term stability that the first-gen walled garden corporate social aggregation sites offered, by design, and that is a barrier to adoption for many.
Does anyone know of a #Mastodon client for #Linux that offers a queue function? This is a feature I need, and I think client side would be better and easier than server side.

Tiens, tiens ! Comme j'utilise principalement l'interface https://elk.zone pour fureter sur #Mastodon, je n'ai pas fait attention que la présentation par défaut des pouets n'est plus déclinée en plusieurs colonnes (ala #Tweetdeck) J'imagine que c'est venu avec la màj v4.2.0.
J'ai beau être sur le Fediverse depuis 2017, je suis plus à l'aise avec la disposition rappelant celle de Twitter (#pataper).
I've changed my mind about #Redux. It does have it's use cases, especially with persist and sync capability, which is exactly what is needed for stuff like a shopping cart, or my next spur of the moment project :ablobcatreachflip: .
Is there a demand for a #TweetDeck replacement for #Mastodon and #Bluesky together? I've been looking at the competition on Bsky, and somehow they really like #Flutter? I checked flutter again, and the plugin options seem to have not made much progress over the last few years. Lots of quirks in the UI that STILL haven't been fixed.
I was thinking of building a single page app and hosting it on cloudflare pages and using Redux sync to do nonsense like multi-screen, multi-account, multi-tab columns of posts. And maybe I could make it... an Electron app.

je suis en train de tester des clients #tweetdeck -like pour mastodon : ici phanpy.social !
pour : un design agréable, on peut mettre autant de colonnes qu'on veut même s'il a pas l'air fait pour des colonnes serrées.
contre : pas de colonne "messages",
la volonté de faire net et minimaliste est manifeste mais du coup pour boost un truc, il faut cliquer dessus, PUIS cliquer sur la ptite fusée, PUIS confirmer qu'on veut boost 😅 .
pour moi ça va pas le faire (gros usages du RT) #colonnes
En outre aucun bouton n'est présent sauf sur le pouet ouvert. donc si vous voulez like plusieurs intervenants, il vous faudra ouvrir chacun des pouets séparément pour les like, l'horreur !
c'est une interface parfaite pour les lurkers qui ne participent pas beaucoup et qui profiteront du design désencombré :) #tweetdeck#colonnes
Been trying some apps and things to see if I could live post some WordCamp US things tomorrow but nothing is as fast (to post) as #Tweetdeck was w/ Twitter.
Sometimes I can post a few things every minute, including media attachements. The browser interface is much too slow.
To even use #Xpro / #Tweetdeck I must have this. No. I will not pay you #Elon a cent to use something that was free and very powerful as opposed by your weaker/buggier version of Tweetdeck. ( #Twitter / #X )
Hm, kommt eine neue Welle #neuhier? Immerhin macht Elon fröhlich weiter, er sperrt das #Tweetdeck für Nicht-Premium Abonnenten und kündigt gestern an, dass "blockieren" (außer bei DMs) nicht mehr möglich sein wird ...
Bitte daran denken - wenn neue Leute hier reinkommen, gleich mal herzlich willkommen heißen, Tipps geben und sie ein bisschen virtuell "an die Hand nehmen", damit sie sich hier wohlfühlen. Wie immer werden viele nicht bleiben - aber der eine oder die andere wird eine neue digitale Heimat finden.
AH putain ça y est, je n'ai plus accès à #tweetdeck après avoir été obligée d'actualiser (il devenait tellement lent au fil du temps, je devais le réactualiser toutes les quelques heures :( ) .
l'angoisse est énorme pour moi, pour un tas d'autres gens.
Si vous lisez mon pouet et que vous êtes tentés de faire de l'ironie sur le fait que tweetdeck à disparu, chez moi ou chez d'autres : abstenez-vous s'il vous plaît.

Wenn du nicht den Anstand besitzt, dein Blabla auf mehrere kleine posts zu verteilen, hast du nicht nur MICROblogging nicht verstanden sondern auch mich als Leser nicht verdient.
