Another dreary weary weekend morning. For sure, it was #SilentSunday. First we went to a county park which would not open until 8:30. We turned around to Sweetwater Creek State Park again. Kengo didn't want to walk much except for eating grass (protesting coming to the same park again?). A short walk in Georgia, USA. (Swapped photos at 10:43)
Let me introduce you to the bestest boy.
His name is Sivar, and he is almost nine years old - we’ve met when he was just two months old, and although I thought I saved him, it was the other way around. Love him to the bits. His soft ears, rough manners, the soul of a happy child. Probably combination of Labrador and American Staffordshire terrier, and most definitely of something what will stay a village secret. #dogs#dogsofmastodon#dogstodon
Pup's new red collar was whipped up by me this afternoon with material and hardware that had been salvaged from broken items. The clasps and D ring came from a puppy carrier that didn't last and the material was a strap on a reusable bag with a short lifespan. Anything that breaks, if I can't repair it, I salvage whatever I can for future projects.
Quite pleased with this! A quick and satisfying make! The other day I also made a big pillow, hemmed a blanket, and I sewed a headlamp onto my waist pack belt for an upcoming race. I will still wear a headlamp but it's nice to have a backup that lights up the ground right in front of me without looking down.
We're brand new here, so we thought we'd thought we'd share an #introduction !
Who we are: a 25-year old non-profit vet clinic in the East Bay dedicated to making high-quality surgical care accessible to all.
What we do: We never turn anyone away for lack of funds: since 2014, Animal Fix Clinic has performed more than 50,000 life-saving and life-changing spay/neuter surgeries at low or no cost.
Even though our work focuses on helping animals, it's really about helping people make good decisions for the animals they love without considering cost. We keep pets with their families where they belong.
Right now, we're working to renovate the former Contra Costa Pinole shelter into our full-time, permanent home!
Why you should follow us: We know that many of you love #catsofmastodon and #dogsofmastodon so we hope we can become friends.
We promise cute pictures and progress of construction on our new clinic.
Today’s quick 3d print of a “pill placer" for our old dog. Big enough for the capsules he has to take 3x a day and hopefully more accurate and less intrusive than my fingers, with less chance of a munched finger.
