"Karl Ruprecht Kroenen. Born in Munich, 1897. Suffered from a masochistic compulsion commonly known as "surgical addiction". Both eyelids surgically removed, along with his upper and lower lip, making speech impossible. The blood in his veins dried up decades ago. Only dust remains."

Current 'It Boy' Jacob Elordi, wowing audiences with his performances in HBO's "Euphoria" and the recent film "Saltburn", will take on the role of the iconic Frankenstein's Monster in Guillermo del Toro's adaptation of the classic story for Netflix. Elordi is replacing Andrew Garfield who had to drop out after post-strike scheduling conflicts popped up. Oscar Isaac and Mia Goth are also starring. #JacobElordi#GuillermoDelToro#Frankenstein#Netflix#Movies#Streaming
Guillermo Del Toro's big dumb fun monster #movie You wonder why there are even "human" characters if they're going to be so generically developed.
Maybe so we don't care when they die.
Filled with rousing speeches and father-son motivations that were old when Top Gun did them. Get rimmed.
Today, October 9, in 1944, Nazi occultists attempt to open a portal to release the Seven Gods of Chaos. Their attempt fails, but a small, red demon makes it through the portal; he is dubbed “Hellboy” and adopted by Professor Trevor Broom (Hellboy, 2004, dir. Guillermo del Toro)
“A creature born out of the experiments of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, after being presumed death in a fire forty years before, is tracked down by another scientist, Dr. Septimus Pretorius, who wishes to continue the experiments started by Dr. Frankenstein.” ~ from the IMDb listing for the upcoming #Frankenstein#movie by Guillermo del Toro
Dr. Septimus Pretorius, patron saint of #gay mad scientists, returns!
"Träume im Hexenhaus" ist ja wirklich eine hübsche Geschichte. Ich habe die jetzt, glaube ich, zum ersten Mal im Leben gelesen. Barock-übervoll, aber in ihrer Wirkung auch wirklich traumartig.
Schade, dass es die Fernseh-Anthologie #GuillermoDelToro's #CabinetOfCuriosities nicht auf DVD gibt. Würde die dortige Verfilmung jetzt gern noch mal sehen.
