She said there is “nothing #Indigenous about the RCMP.”
“They can hire Indigenous people but it doesn’t change their many #HumanRights violations and their continued role in #MMIWG. #RibbonSkirts are #sacred & not to be associated with #genocide,” she said, adding whoever thought of the idea should be fired.
..a bigger issue than whether #Pickton survives is the potential destruction of the #evidence.
“I act as legal counsel for 16 children of nine women who were killed by #RobertPickton,” he said. “It’s in their interest to preserve the evidence seized by the #RCMP on the Pickton farm to allow my clients to prove that Robert Pickton & #DavidPickton caused them to suffer loss.”
Today is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ Peoples, also known as Red Dress Day. The name comes from the REDress project created by Métis artist Jamie Black in 2010. As part of an art installation, Jamie hung hundreds of empty red dresses in public spaces to remind people of the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit women and girls lost to gender-based violence.
"Redress” means to remedy or set right. The REDdress project is a call to action. Though these conversations can be challenging with learners, it’s important to make them aware of this ongoing issue and discuss how they can take action.

After she defended her brother from illegal harassment by cops, capturing everything on her camera phone, the young aspiring "social media" user went missing in late RCT_2019.
18 year-old Kaysera's body was found several days later by a jogger. But nobody told the family, and her body was cremated by the coroner when he ID'd her identity.
Family was not given a chance to say their goodbyes. Her body was destroyed before evidence about her attacker could be gathered; killed by strangulation and asphyxiation "not ruled out"".
Is obvious today that Zuck and Facebook sold her location data to the homicidal narcissist or narcissists who murdered her -- and it was probably the criminal cops, who were terrified of losing their "social standing" in the community, after she caught them doing something that would cause them to lose their job, pension, or whatever government perk.
Motive is motive is motive. Indigenous women are 15 percent of the murder victims in 1 percent of the population, and that stat is as high as sit is 100 percent because people trust Zuck.
Don't sleep well knowing your kids are on there; I wouldn't if I were you.

Manitoba Progressive Conservative Leader Heather Stefanson is apologizing for election ads promoting her decision to not search a landfill north of Winnipeg for the remains of First Nations women, and says she was "a little uncomfortable" with the combative tone of her party's unsuccessful re-election campaign.
Feeling the orange wave these days as again, it was the #NDP today in the House of Commons that brought up the landfill search, the Federal Conservatives agreement with Stefanson, and forced the Government’s hand: #Manitoba#Canada#cdnpoli

@msquebanh Thanks for sharing this. One of my fave Indigenous Women Leaders is Winona LaDuke. I got a chance to hear her speak on #MMIWG issues among the Ojibwe peoples. Was a truly transformative talk for me. https://humansandnature.org/winona-laduke/
The realities of #MMIW#MMIWG2S#MMIWG is disturbing. Especially when governments spend more on finding dead billionaires on the bottom of the ocean, but won't spend anything going into a landfill to find murdered #Indigenous Women...#JustSaying
