Total is still sitting at $195/$2000. Can someone give $5 to bring total to $200?
Everyday this survivor fears leaving their apartment and facing another assualt. Closer we get to this goal, quicker we can get them to safety while preserving dignity after the traumatic attack. ♥
Just this morning I saw a post from a good intentioned comrad who asserted that Palestinians and zionist can learn to coexist, like settlers and Natives have done in the US...and it's like. #mmir / #mmiw (missing murdered relatives)
All the disproportionate rates of poverty and oppression...
Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone’s mission to end violence against Native American women and girls
“There are 574 federally recognized tribes in this nation, and we all experience this epidemic,” Gladstone said. “This epidemic of hundreds, thousands of missing, murdered Indigenous women (MMIW), children, Two-Spirit relatives – the only people who have any authority to do anything do nothing.
To raise awareness of the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, two-spirit people and relatives (#MMIW/R), activists in Minnesota use Valentine’s Day, February 14, to hold events, along with May 5 being the official MMIW day. [Video]
NEW: Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Relatives Remembered
On any given month in the past decade, a range of 27 to 54 Indigenous women and girls are listed as missing in Minnesota. To raise awareness of this crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, two-spirit people and relatives (MMIW/R), activists in Minnesota use Valentine’s Day, February 14, to hold events, along with May 5 being the official #MMIW day.
In South Minneapolis on February 13, Unicorn Riot heard from artists, activists and community leaders at an art build and covered the #MMIW march featuring hundreds of people the next day.
Pickton should never ever be released, in any capacity. Our BC criminal court system is a joke. He shouldn't be even eligible to apply for any parole. Victims' families deserve better.
After she defended her brother from illegal harassment by cops, capturing everything on her camera phone, the young aspiring "social media" user went missing in late RCT_2019.
18 year-old Kaysera's body was found several days later by a jogger. But nobody told the family, and her body was cremated by the coroner when he ID'd her identity.
Family was not given a chance to say their goodbyes. Her body was destroyed before evidence about her attacker could be gathered; killed by strangulation and asphyxiation "not ruled out"".
Is obvious today that Zuck and Facebook sold her location data to the homicidal narcissist or narcissists who murdered her -- and it was probably the criminal cops, who were terrified of losing their "social standing" in the community, after she caught them doing something that would cause them to lose their job, pension, or whatever government perk.
Motive is motive is motive. Indigenous women are 15 percent of the murder victims in 1 percent of the population, and that stat is as high as sit is 100 percent because people trust Zuck.
Don't sleep well knowing your kids are on there; I wouldn't if I were you.

One Woman Died on an #Alaska Mayor’s Property. Then Another. No One Has Ever Been Charged.
Before they died, Jennifer Kirk and Sue Sue Norton were both victims of domestic violence, but the men involved — the ex-mayor’s sons — faced few consequences despite a long history of similar allegations.
Yeah. I follow native news and issues a lot such as #landback and #mmiw. But when the Irish send their kids on a J1 they don’t think for a second about the issues there.
Outside of the US, Canada is staggeringly institutionally racist towards First Nations people. I haven’t met a single Irish person who took an interest or stands with those people. They are more likely to join an Irish language group than learn the language of the people who actually belong to that land.
In Australia, indigenous are also massively oppressed, yet nobody goes there to stand with these people.
Despite support of Palestine, the Irish settle on the lands of the oppressed and walk the walk of the settler-coloniser.
I think I would overwhelm to send you links for all of that, but a good start that I would recommend is reading about modern day colonialism. It is a structure, not a historical event. Bob Joseph’s book on the Indian Act is a good read.
Instead of asking me for links you could learn about what these people endure and then ask the Irish you know why they don’t stand with the people whose lands they have settled on or why they pay taxes to their colonisers.
Seraphine Warren gained attention for her cross-country walk from the Navajo Nation to Washington, D.C., to raise awareness about her missing aunt. Now newly unsealed federal court documents show that she and three other people were arrested and charged in connection with a 2021 kidnapping case.
UPDATE: Woman charged with homicide of #MikaWestwolf
by Judd Legum
Oct 24, 2023
"In the early morning of March 31, 2023, Mika Westwolf, a 22-year-old #Indigenous woman, was walking on the shoulder of U.S. Highway 93, which passes through the Flathead reservation in Montana. Westwolf was struck by a Cadillac Escalade and declared dead at the scene.
"Authorities said that 28-year-old Sunny White was behind the wheel of the Escalade with her two young children in the back seat and fled the scene. White is allegedly a #WhiteNationalist; she named her children 'Aryan' and 'Nation.' Some speculated that Westwolf's death was a #HateCrime."
She named her kids "Aryan" and "Nation," and the cops slow-walked their investigation and tried to blame her Native American victim until the media brought some heat.
