Be sure to lend your support to this ambitious project to create modern replacements for the EXTREMELY FRAGILE inner bezels of the G3 #Apple#Macintosh#iMac!
The imposing classical style entrance to the former Hillhead High School on Cecil Street in the west end of Glasgow. It was designed by H and D Barclay and was built in 1883.
Wanna feel old? SimCity 2000 was released 30 years ago. This video retrospective is an awesome look back at the game and I love the video creator's enthusiasm for it!
SC2000 was way ahead of its time. It's unfortunate how the franchise ended up, although the modern Cities: Skylines series is a great love-letter to Maxis' original vision.
HP printer = "I don't know what Wi-Fi mean... pull cable tighter? What's for dinner? Need ink again! Feed Me!"
And then there's the #HP paper tray glitch that happens periodically because the feed roller, at the very back of the tray, fails to drop down to grab a sheet. I can take the tray out, reach waay back and trigger it to drop with my hand! Fixed. Another HP tech hack! This should really be a YouTube video where I reenact this and then spontaneously combust. 💥
The former Maryhill Primary School on Viewmount Drive. Built around 1881, it's one of the few Greek Revival style schools constructed by the Glasgow School Board and is thought to have been designed by T.L. Watson.
I'm currently coding an old computer interface to display local newspaper articles (temporary background). I'm quite happy with the "old school effect" I've achieved. It's all about using monochromatic colors, and you can navigate the menus with the arrow keys (or simply use the mouse because, well, it's 2023!) #indiedev#gamedev#oldschool#retro
