David Stewart, 1st Duke of Rothesay, son of King Robert III and heir to the Scottish crown, was murdered by his uncle, Robert Stewart, 1st Duke of Albany, at Falkland Palace in Fife on 26 March 1402. The richly-furnished Queen's Bedchamber in the magnificent Palace at Stirling Castle.
