Mmm, snake meat. As a protein source it's even more efficient than harvesting crickets!

I suppose MAYBE ... conceivably ... a factory farm swarming with hundreds of thousands of pythons could pose some risk to the neighborhood. But: say bye-bye to your rat problem.

[#ScienceNews on #Mars] The #ChemCam instrument installed on NASA's #Curiosity rover has identified the presence of #manganese in particularly high concentrations within #rocks that dot the floor of the #Gale crater.

This discovery shows that these #sediments were formed in a river, a delta or near the shore of an ancient lake. It raises questions about #oxydation processes on Mars... and reinforces the hypothesis of past #habitability...

NOAA just issued the Severe (G4) level geomagnetic storm watch for May 11, 2024

After updating their model by taking today's X2.2 flare from AR3664 into account, NOAA just issued the Severe (G4) level geomagnetic storm watch for May 11, 2024!

Meanwhile, sunspots AR3664 just produced another X1.1 flare an hour ago. Will we get an Extreme (G5) geomagnetic storm this Saturday?

American Samoa’s Sinking Land Speeds Up Sea Level Rise - Eos

In American Samoa, the sea is rising 4 times faster than the global average. And an ongoing project has shown that land subsidence is to blame: The crust is relaxing after an earthquake and tsunami in 2009, compounding the effects of climate change.
