This is an incredible video if you want to feel like you're visiting . It's exceptionally well done. Christopher has a talent for providing engaging commentary on what is recorded and has a knack for providing the right information.

It takes a while for Peertube to download and start playing the video because of its size. So be patient. And I think the Gundam at the end attacked the feed, so the video is cut off.

Anyway, it's delightful to watch.

@nixCraft At least Gemini Advanced got it right as shown. And it offered more about it when I asked if this is true for any number base. I'm not saying Gemini is better or great, I just personally like to test things out.

As per Gemini Advanced:

I'm gonna be really honest. I'm feeling a bit emotional about this whole thing. Just a swarm of emotions.

Sadness because of having to leave behind all of my posts and discussions with most of you and the connections I seemingly lost with this move.

Nervous because hosting an instance for others is a new experience for me and I'd really hate to screw it up.

Excited for what the future might hold and all the new people I might meet along the way.

Happy that I have taken this step in moving my Fediverse journey forward.

Hopeful that I can do something good for people here and it's viewed as something good.

Grateful for all the friends and connections I've made along this wild ride this far.

Thank you, kind friends. I honestly don't know what else I'd be spending my time doing if I hadn't decided to start this journey with you almost a year ago.

I'm debating reviving my official pixelfed hosting service idea, it's not a regular host service though!

Rather you'd bring a S3, Hetzner, Linode, DigitalOcean API key to our service

We would provision or otherwise manage (1-click updates, automated backups) your instance while allowing you to maintain total control over ownership of the underlying server and data

I'm thinking $5-20 a month for this, and it would allow admins a new level of peace of mind while maintaining total control

@dansup I maintain many personal servers (Mastodon, email server, Bluesky PDS, DNS, VPN, WordPress, Nextcloud, Peertube) and several more!, that I'd welcome having a Pixelfed instance that someone else would maintain for me. I'm just out of spare time.

I've thought of setting up a Pixelfed instance, but just haven't had the weekend time to do it.

So, yep, I'd sign up.
