Unless something changes, come July 1 I will be deleting all 9 years and 11 months of my posts on #Reddit and closing my account, which is a shame because Reddit is really useful.

What Reddit is doing to third parties that use their API is obscene, and I’m choosing to stand in solidarity with @christianselig. He has always been fair with his pricing, up-front & communicative with the community and his customers, and consistently worked on improvements to the app.

#Budgie feels like what #GNOME could have been had they not floated into minimalist, puffy corner nirvana.

It’s rather nice, honestly. It feels very GNOME-Y, but in a more straightforward way than current GNOME, which to me is starting to feel like the macOS of Linux - wantonly stripping out features because DISTRACTIONS MUST DIE!

What holds Budgie back, at least for me, is the dearth of useful applets and widgets. (I have tried to learn coding multiple times in the past, but alas.)

They cheaped out on the #Klingon bridge set, but that scene was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in Star Trek, hands-down.

This whole thing started because my family would always leave lights on and lose their keys…

Now the lights turn themselves on and off, all doors are now keyless, I have control over ALL of it, I know exactly what we are consuming at any given moment, and I’ve barely scratched the surface of what this amazing software can do!

I will buy NO smart home device that isn’t #HomeAssistant compatible.

Forget #HomeKit. Forget #Google. Forget #Alexa. If you’ve got a little tech know-how, get this.

I am once again getting the urge to install EndeavorOS but I... only use it to run firefox on it.

Seriously, this is the biggest reason I stopped using Linux; I don't actually use it for anything but browsing the web since gaming just is so much more convinient on Windows and I'm not into Linux for ideological reasons (yet).

I ALSO stopped because the number of bat shit racist libertarians on Linux forums I frequented were souring the experience. But that's another matter.
