@chrismessina I saw it tonight and I thought it was great. It has a lot of heart and I would recommend it.

I think the marketing, the trailer in particular, does the movie a disservice. It sets it up as some kind of tired Romeo/Juliet story, which is not really what's happening. This is more of an immigrant's story.

So the tech CEO who got murdered in SF was killed by someone he knew and the ex-fire SF chief turned cannabis entrepreneur who was savagely beaten turns out to have been going around spraying homeless people with bear spray. It's almost like all these SF is so dangerous narratives exist merely to support the biases of the people spreading them.
