is a show about queer pirates and finding community as societal outcasts. It's arguably one of the most important pieces of queer media to have been released over the last number of years.

So, of course it was axed.

I've tried watching it 3 times now, and personally am not a fan - but I see how important shows like this are. My housemate (who is also queer) LOVES it. We often talk about the support and home the fans of this show have found - fans who are primarily young queer and trans people, a lot of whom don't have a home elsewhere.

Please sign this petition because the fandom of are trying to get it renewed for a 3rd season.

The fact that the harm is framed as being done to the cops is awful.

We are so desperate to dehumanise these kids that their mistreatment is only talked about as harmful to others and not harm to them.

Today was a lot. I started with a doctor appt this morning, then met up with my submissive for a quick session where I introduced him to a hitachi for the first time (amusing af!), and then had my waxing appointment.

Tomorrow I have my hair appointment before running my housemate around for some errands, and then I have to pack.

Wednesday I head to Sydney at 7am, and Thursday I fly out at 9.30pm.. which will means numerous hours sitting on molded plastic chairs at the airport waiting for my flight. Then 24 hours later I land and finally get to hug Greg.

Yay for hugging Greg.

These tech companies that are having mass firings.. like cloudflare and discord - they're saying it's because of wanting to cut down on labour and increase efficiency (blah blah blah read maximise profits).

What are the chances it's because they're going to start (have started?) using AI?

(yes, i know AI isn't real and it's machine learning and deep learning.. but it's a misnomer that's become a title so don't lecture, thanks)

It's anti-Arabic racism.

I had the sprinkler on the front garden for a little while today, and it was hitting the front verandah next to the bird feeder.. a while bunch of birds came and played in the water, it was so much fun to watch!

I got stung by a bee this morning.

I had just dropped my housemate at work, and arrived back home. I went around to the back of the car to get some things out, and walked on the grass. I actually looked to see if there were bees or bindis, and was thinking about how lovely the grass is by the car port, and how I wish the rest of our grass was so soft and lush.

By the time I got to the front door, my second toe right foot was HURTING. I was trying to remember if I stepped on a stone or something, I'm usually really good at noticing things like that, especially since being a diabetic means you have to be careful with your feet.

I got into the house and sat down to have a look at my toe, now worried it was a spider bite because it was so sore, and could see a tiny little black spot sticking out. I thought it was a bindi so I sort of scratched it out of my foot with my fingernail - rookie error.

It was the bee sting, and scratching it out like that pushed the rest of the venom into my foot. If you find a bee sting you should use the edge of a knife blade to scrape it out so you don't squeeze the venom sac.

Once I had a closer look at the sting and realised what it was, I took a huge dose of antihistamines and popped some steroid cream on the site because I'm allergic to bees.. they worked, and I'm ok, just a bit phlegmy and a slight BP drop (102/58), but no anaphylaxis.

The pain has moved from the burning fire in the toe to a generalised ache in the whole foot and all I want to do is curl up and sleep for like 13 hours.

I was supposed to write today.. do you think I can email my lecturer and explain that my work might be late because I got stung by a bee and that's about all I can handle for one day?

I just saw a HUGE shower of green and yellow sparks shoot up over the houses across the road from behind them, and then all the lights went out everywhere.

The lights have come back on my side of the street, but not the other side. The street light is on steady the other side of the street but is flashing on and off on my side.

The lights in my house keep dimming in and out.

Outside smells like a metallic burning smell.

I don't know what's happening.. I'd say maybe a dry lightning strike, but there was no sound, and I've heard a close up lightning strike before.. you definitely don't miss that sound.

I don't know.. I feel like this is going to be unpopular, but I'm going to say it.

I feel like not posting AltText because "I don't know how", or "I don't have the time/energy" needs to just fucking stop.

If you don't know how - learn.

If you don't have the time/energy - save the picture and post when you have the time/energy to AltText it.

It's giving businesses who whine "we didn't build a ramp because they're expensive.."

If the social model of disability is a thing (it is!) then the onus for accessibility is on able people (it is!)

Accessibility is mandatory.

@vol4life8657 @Cassandra - it really depends on the game. I bought a bunch of games for a 24hr flight and none of them worked without being able to connect to the internet and check for piracy.

    @rooster - you look amazing, and that's a great colour for you.

    You also have a double lip line on your bottom lip - if you look at the picture you can see that there's a ridge below your lip line where your lip finishes (if that doesn't make sense let me know and I can explain it more). It means you have an option of taking the bottom lip line lower if you want to as well.. some people do this for a daytime v nightime look.

    Also, do you know what lip colour that is, because it's a great neutral colour thats not too nude looking.

    I'm running a temperature of 37.9 and nothing is touching my joint and muscle pain today. The injection site is red, hot, and has a lump. I have a headache that feels like I haven't drunk water in 76 days.

    Still better than covid.
