Any good cli/terminal spell checking programmes? Pass in a file, get an terminal interactive “replace this with that / ignore / add to dict.” workflow.

I remember using aspell(1) back in Ye Olden Days. Is that still the best?

Anywhere good to buy lots of hand held LGBTQ pride flags?

Pride/CSD Season is almost upon us, and I'd like 50-100 handheld flags for our group in the parade. Sensible delivery to here in Germany. Pref with progress pride flag, rather than regular rainbow. Worse case, I get something from Amazon

so much software is built around a feudal, hierachial model. One person is King, with control over everything.

I wish more software (incl. mastodon admin rights) had built in democracy (“If X people in $GROUP make a decision, then it's valid” (e.g. “turn off registrations”))…

The tech bros always choose opt-out (rather than opt-in) for your privacy because they know people won't read it, and they'll get more users & numbers. They know that if they did opt-in, they wouldn't get as many users and their metrics wouldn't go brrrrr.

Why do they get to decide on the form of opt-out? They get to decide that “to opt out, you have to put this text in your profile, otherwise i don't opt you out”. Why are we allowing them to decide what form of opt-out is allowed?

How come I don't get to decide what form opt-out takes?

(we all know the answers to this… 🙄)

TIL git checkout --merge.
It switched git branches, and if you have local modifications, it applies them after checkout. Kinda like “autostash”

I just want to copy & paste a few images together into a collage. Very low effort & quicky. There's decent android phone apps to automatically make a collage. But anything for a desktop / web browser?
