Irgendwie haben wir kein Glück mit den Kaninchen. 😞 Wir mußten gestern Nacht mit Socke noch den Bereitschafts-TA aufsuchen, weil seine Apathie mir am Abend weder wie Coolness, noch wie Schüchternheit wegen neuer Umgebung mehr vorkam. TA meinte, er hätte eine Darmanschoppung, gab Schmerzmittel, Infusion und einen Verdauungshelfer. Aber sein Zustand war zu dem Zeitpunkt schon sehr kritisch. Wir haben ihn mit Wärmeflasche in eine Decke gewickelt. Aber er hat die Nacht nicht überlebt. 😞

98% aller Atome im Universum sind entweder Wasserstoff oder Helium. Ich schlage vor, diesen Periodentabellenquatsch mit 1000 Elementen zu lassen und Dinge wieder in Wasserstoff oder Helium zu unterteilen. Die restlichen 2% sind Randerscheinungen und wir können ehrlich gesagt nicht unsere ganze Gesellschaft und Sprache nach ihnen ausrichten.

They take straight up bribes from people who they are hearing cases from, go on lavish trips w them and have absolutely no #accountability whatsoever. @hof Ich glaube, das Problem ist eher, dass du nicht vorhersagen kannst, in welche Richtung das Klima hier umschlagen wird. Wird es wärmer und trockener oder bekommen wir eine Eisdecke, weil der Golfstrom zusammenbricht?

@hof Ja, wir planen tatsächlich auch ein thermoreguliertes Gewächshaus, das beiden Szenarien gewachsen ist. Und beim Waldumbau pflanze ich sowohl Bäume, die besser auf wärmeres, trockenes Klima angepaßt sind, als auch solche, die ggf. einer Eiszeit trotzen können, in der Hoffnung, dass irgendetwas davon überleben wird - Resilienz durch Diversität und Artenvielfalt.

"Extrapolations" kenn ich nicht. Will ich anschauen, sagst du?

@hof Ich kenne Solarpunk vor allem als literarisches Genre. Es fokussiert auf die Utopie einer Versöhnung des modernen, technischen Menschen mit der Natur. Ich finde, Visionen sind wichtig, damit wir als Menschheit ideologische Ziele haben, gerade jetzt, wo alles so hoffnungslos aussieht.

You cannot escape climate change by going off-grid and creating a permaculture ecovillage - climate change will catch up with you & yours.

Not saying there might not be other good reasons to form intentional communities, but you cannot ethically escape the requirement to be an activist.

The greedhead fascists who brought us anthropogenic climate change won't stop continuing their violence voluntarily. They must be met with active and constant resistance and outflanking.

@meganL I agree. But aren't you an activist already by going off-grid and forming an eco-village in the first place? I agree, it's not enough to stop climate change, facists and capitalist exploitation. And it's not an escape, because these problems will catch up with you. But it's absolutely a valid form of climate activism. Geez, people, go and form eco-villages and grow your own food!

The removal of the tomatoes from the greenhouse benches gives us room to get the first planting of sweetcorn (Flagler) started. We put 5 seeds to a pot and 32 pots make a row. Once those are big enough and the weather warm enough they will get set out in to a row and another planting will be started. We try to have 2 weeks between plantings to extend the season. Last year we brought ~ 230 ears of corn to the table.
