Used to work at Tesla and System76 as well as doodle about with homelabs. Figuring out life now. #autistic#pan-demi
Daily driving tux since 2018, project use since 2004.
Message me here if you add me on Steam, as I usually need context for friend requests.
My debut EP is FINALLY ready for your ears! It's an emotional, melodic journey through love, loss, and personal demons, but wrapped in a catchy, cathartic rock & roll package.
I think you're gonna love it!
It's available at #Bandcamp 10 days ahead of streaming platforms, and each $4 purchase also bundles in the original demos of each song. Turn it up, sing along, and rock out!

When I went to a doctor checkup appointment I wore a mask, as I always do indoors or around humans I don't trust.
They asked me why I had it on. I asked them why they didn't.
Somehow, that ended the conversation right there.
Testing Mastodon from the command line using the program called "toot". Looks and functions very slick. Not that I expected it to not function, but there is one unexpected thing about it! See, as everyone else on Fediverse, I have been putting ALT text on my pictures in order to make this social media more accessible. However, by accessible I always thought of legally blind people. But now that I am in a CLI Mastodon program I came to fully appreciate everyone's effort on ALT texting. You rock.
I’ve been playing and enjoying games like Virtua Tennis 4 for more than a decade, and these jokers want to come along and say “we’re absolutely shutting down your SINGLE PLAYER game in two years.” #StopKillingGames
@killyourfm A friend of mine I grew up with has played Tennis games on various consoles and PCs for a long time, and also enjoys the sport in real life. Once he finds this out, he'll probably rant over beers the next time I see him lol.
The top ~50 Google searches are people typing in websites without the .net or .com because they can't remember the full domain name. (Including "google" which is hilarious.)
Is this a sad reflection on society, or proof that we need a more advanced search engine that actually answers questions rather than simply serving up promoted links and SEO-optimized clickbait.
I'm tentatively excited about this rumored ChatGPT search engine, even if I still have reservations about the future of AI.
I work in IT, but I don't work in desktop IT, so I don't have any special rights to do anything on my own personal work computer. It's just as locked down as anybody else's. I can sudo to root on our servers, but I can't change my desktop wallpaper. Recently, corporate decided to hide Desktop in Quick Access, so I can't save to my desktop without going to c:\users\mike\Desktop. Plus, it's only hidden, not removed, so it's technically there and can't be added back. ARGGGG!
I am once again getting the urge to install EndeavorOS but I... only use it to run firefox on it.
Seriously, this is the biggest reason I stopped using Linux; I don't actually use it for anything but browsing the web since gaming just is so much more convinient on Windows and I'm not into Linux for ideological reasons (yet).
I ALSO stopped because the number of bat shit racist libertarians on Linux forums I frequented were souring the experience. But that's another matter.
@RockyC side note: I said company-provided because I would get a lot of free Thinkpads out of the ewaste bins at the various places I worked up until 2021 when I switched to buying a @frameworkcomputer
@RockyC As someone who thinks they're a curmudgeon at the young age of 30, but moreso about life than Linux, I would agree here. I switched to daily driving various Linux distros on my at-the-time company-provided hardware in 2018 onwards. Gaming has certainly improved with the paid work on #proton and #wine I would say.
I think I wrote a blog post about running linux in 2019 here too https://www.s31bz.com/blog/2019/3/7/thinkpad-life-and-the-yearly-distrohop
