Does anyone have that meme where two guys are standing around during Jesus' crucifixion, and the first guy asks what he did, and the second one says something like, "be kind to your neighbors", and the first guy goes, "oh, that'll do it".

Something to that effect, I'm probably a little off. I got it on Mastodon originally, but it seems I didn't bookmark it or save a copy.

I don't remember if this was from season 1 or 2 of the TV series. Season 1 was relatively faithful to the book, but not 100%. Season 2 was a totally different story from the book. I'm thinking this was session 2.

I enjoyed then both, so if you liked the book, give the show a try if you get the chance

@senanthic maybe, but you're a known quantity from inside the org. Your experience may count for more than you think.

If my company was hiring a sr director of Dev Ops, I'm sure they would require a degree. But I'm pretty sure the guy who is in that position currently dropped out and never earned a degree. He got a job and kept moving up into better jobs he wasn't qualified for on paper.

is back after a long migration in the first stage of our upgrade. Now that we are on a new home we will give it 24 horus to see if the move was bug free (As it seems to be) and then we will start upgrading versions one at a time day by day.. The upgrades are prepared and ready and should be much quicker.

The move took a while as we keep a backlog of every message to the start of the fediverse so our media and DB stores are quite large and it took a long time. But we are back!!!

About 4 months ago, I started the process of getting solar panels installed at my house. Four months of HOA applications, insurance paperwork, government permits, and equipment upgrades from my electric company.

Finally, this evening, the stars aligned, and I finally got all my approvals, and the system was activated. I am finally ready to start getting my electricity right from the sun....

Just finished “How to Hide an Empire,” by Daniel Immerwahl

I’m often surprised by how much I don’t know, but this really astonished me with my own ignorance. I’m embarrassed to say how little I knew of US colonialism, territories, and global military bases

Immerwahl explains the post WWII / as a product of technological innovation in a clear (and very readable) way. Highly recommend!

I just wrapped six breakfast sandwiches in tin foil, threw them in the fridge, and got my smoothie ready for tomorrow morning. The goal is to be able to throw one into the oven at 6:30 and be able to do some light calisthenics before work.

This past week shook me a little.
