Tomorrow (Saturday the 20th) at 2 PM EST (11 AM PST) I'm continuing my stream of Toki Tori 2, a cutesy WiiU puzzle "metroidvania" with startling mechanical depths based on building emergent machines from the interactions of wild animals. playing with the Korg opsix native demo lately seeing how i like it. just a quick mic recording/screencap vid. some moments were nice enough, was liking the effects on this one tweaked from a starter stock patch.

well, they made a module version, mkII with the upgraded 64 voice count, desktop or rackmount, about perfect without having to worry with software.

Since y'all were so useful with my last LibreOffice Calc problem, here's another:

I open LibreOffice calc and use File->Open to open a .csv. It works. Next, I File->Open again, and open a second .csv. This time instead LibreOffice Calc does nothing—but if I ask GNOME to show me what windows LibreOffice has open, it now claims LibreOffice has a tiny, thin all-white window open, which if I mouse over it GNOME displays as a preview a semitransparent average of every window open on my computer.

Took a break and had a very pretty woods walk. The windchill was definitely below -30C, but it was pretty nice in sheltered areas.

Beautifully snowy woods, with snow on lots of tiny branches on bare trees.

My New Year’s resolution this year is 640x400x1 🥳

Say Hello, World! to the new-to-me Macintosh Portable. This is the fancy backlit version (M5126). More luggable than laptop weighing in at 16 lbs. It’s just such a beast of a machine.

Went out to the drugstore and I was so so hype because it's FINALLY December 26 and for the first time since October I could go to the drugstore without hearing Christmas music. Walked in. The piped in music was a lady singing "I Believe In Santa Claus". There is no escape

If threads gets in here with there ads and zero privacy, there’s no point in staying here. No point in trying to convince people to choose for the fediverse. Because they can simply stay where they are on IG, FB and threads.
Such a shame. All hope for a real alternative destroyed by the one that was at the origin of mastodon.

Sometimes when Microsoft Paint is open in the background on my Windows 10 machine this creates a bizarre behavior where pressing any arrow key causes the mouse to shift about 10 pixels in that direction. And sometimes this does not happen. Does anyone know what determines if the behavior activates or not and how to move from the universe where it is happening to where it is not happening

Just before sunset, I saw a muskrat swimming in a slough*! It was so cute! Like a teeny tiny beaver.

*People around here call the big, shallow swampy lakes around here "sloughs" and I think it's a great word
